Ok so basically I’ve been talking to Robbie about a lot of stuff when it comes to clans. And I’ve been talking about WG's warring. This brought me to the need to make this topic.

WG's warring isn't doing so hot. We all know this - And we are all to blame for this. We have low levels that need to train, and, we have high levels that need to help the low levels. Its not just a one person thing.
Our other big problem is our calling. Its horrible, and this is where you Raid Leaders come in.

I'll split this post up into a few different sections and basically try my best to give everyone tips on how to make wg a better warring clan.

Ok so to start. Members...

You guys are the base of the clan - without members there wouldn't be a clan - but if you as a member aren’t active then the clan will die. So you must be active.
When it comes to warring you need to show up and give it your all. After all, when you are out there with your friends fighting side by side, you don’t want to let them down.
This means if we start a 2 hours pkri with 90 opts we better end with at least 96! Think about it - 2 hours - that’s not long to set aside for your clan to help them win a war.
We aren't asking you to come war with us for 12 hours or something like some of the bigger name clans would do. We are only asking for two short hours.

You guys also need to trust in your leadership - This will take some work on both ends, but the way the warring world goes - from what I’ve seen and worked with back when I was a "raid leader" in 'The' - is if you set a 2 hour cap on a war then the other clan will be sure to last 2 hours and at the end of the 2 hours they will have every member they can find show up so they have more Opts than us.
This totally kills the wars for us.

One way to solve this is using the clan war arena.
This has its ups and downs.
The ups are you can go by how many kills each clan has at the end - But the downs are your not taking anything from the other clan - The whole point of killing the other clan members is to make them lose their armour and keep on doing so till they cant return to fight anymore!
If they aren't losing anything then they will keep fighting us forever, and we can't handle that.

Another way to fix this is to make the war uncapped - But this leaves us a small problem that wouldn't otherwise happen - This leaves the time window open.
Now most of the time an uncapped war with a small clan like us won't last over 2 hours, but there’s a small chance that it will.
The good side is that while we are dropping the other clan left and right they start to notice that they are just dieing and they will leave right then - no need to try to hold out for 2 hours.

That’s just a few things you as members need to know.

Now training. As a member, we all know you need to train your combat. I'm not asking you to go crazy and max out in a month, but do train combat some. However, training doesn't end there - as a member in a clan that wars you need to always be training for war - once or twice a month you should be more than willing to go to a training event to keep everyone in shape as far as warring goes.
Even if you know how to tank and don’t think you need to go show up, you should do so for the next guy that doesn't know how to tank - Teach him to tank, and it will help you!
It will also make the clan work better as a whole.

Now on to our raid leaders and warlords...

You guys are the head of the warring world. You make our wars, you tell us when to be there, and you tell us who we are fighting.
We depend on you to make good choices - You need to know what this clan is able to do and how we fight best.
You also need to be straight forward in making sure you get the best setup for us in clan rules.
Also, you guys should try to have one war a week. Don't over load us but don't let us go without wars.
When it comes to training for the wars you guys need to make training events at least twice a month.
Council should make it so every member has to show up to one of those training events a month.

Now for the last thing on my mind: Calling.

As a raid leader you are supposed to be calling our fall-ins and our piles.
You need to be consistent in doing so: If you call a fall-in to the north most of the time we will know that you are going to step out to the north when you want us to fall in.
This will make things so much smoother.
As for calling on a target you need to pay attention to who you call - If you call on someone and they tank us from spiders to greaters and back 2 times, we won't want to pile that person for the rest of the war.
You want the easy kos as your targets.
You want to drop that kid that keeps returning and dies after eating 3 pizzas - That way after dieing 9 times he will stop coming back.
If we do that to all of their members then we will win.
Also, you need to get there fall-in leaders. Don’t be scared of them.

You guys also need to change how you call your piles - right now if you were to call a pile on me and I was down at the south east side of the screen the pile would be called as "Ok get on tweek to the south east".
The way we should be calling our piles is "GET ON TWEEK TO THE SOUTH EAST HES LEVEL 123 IN RUNE, KO HIM, COME ON TWEEK900 LEVEL 123 headed ____. NICE BIND(if people are binding, and if not) GET SOME BINDS OUT GUYS WHAT ARE YOU DOING. COME ON DON'T LET HIM TANK US HES A FAILED TANK KO HIM." - and just repeat that, but make sure you give the level and keep giving the name and the level!
Its kind of hard to explain over text, and I’m more than willing to tell you in mumble if you ask =) Now, while calling yell don’t just say it - If your yelling and making it fun then the clan will do better.
If you throw out stuff where lets say there’s 2 guys named "legend stew" (because I know there’s a few) Yell "get on Legend stew (level)" and so on, then once he’s koed yell "ok now get his brother over here (level)" it will get people more into the killing the next person.
TBH, if it makes people laugh and get into it more (it did most of the time while calling in 'The'), throw out some small flames while calling. Nothing huge just funny stuff. It will make people relaxed and when the clan members are relaxed they will do better.

Finally for council/leadership:

You guys need to keep everyone in line and make sure everyone is doing what they should be.
If you see a member not training, you need to be on them like a fly’s on stink.
If you see someone skipping wars or raids or war practices you need to be on them as well - You cant let people have the easy way out and you cant let them skip things like war training.
If everyone does them, it will help out a lot.

That’s all I have for you guys.

If anyone wants anything else that I have in my head, or if anyone has any questions they would like to ask me, they can do so in pm or IRC or even on this post.
If someone wants to brain storm of ways to help out with me that’s always fun too. Ask ludo - we talked in mumble for a couple hours about it one day!

Thanks for reading,

-Tweek

I think I can sum it up as "pointless ranting war topic in which nothing will really change afterwards" without reading it.

To tell you the truth theres no ranting. And to be honest with you maybe you should read it and do something about nothing changing. If you read it and tell the next guy to read it and everyone agrees then something will change. Nothing will change if everyone just says oh doesn't matter not going to read this and nothing will change anyways. Thats not helping this clan at all.

All of your suggestions are valid, but I think the large majority of people concerned are already acquainted with them. Sadly, the hard part is having everybody you mentioned do everything you mentioned.

snow, If everyone reads this topic and listens to it instead of just blowing it off because its kinda long then we should be able to get on the same page. And this post wont do everything. A raid leader or a council/leader needs to step in and make a topic and put things in line. Like i said in my topic the leaders needs to keep everyone in line. It starts at the top and works its way down.

I think we have long established that all this ranting is going to change nothing. Most people have just given up.

At least he's taking a more formal and sensible approach now rather than just ranting and flaming.

I think people like Ely/Snow are assuming that this topic is directed at the PvP issues we're experiencing now, when really it should be directed at members unfamiliar with the PvP aspect altogether - it would serve more purpose there. Otherwise, as Snow said, it's really just making us aware of what we're already aware of and doesn't really solve anything.

If you could shorten it down though or put it into a different perspective rather than just a tl;dr, it would be great though. It's not very user-friendly atm.

Great suggestions. I read it all.

A few things that I disagree with but that is just my opinion on how things should run. No need in starting a flamefest just because of my opinion.

If people read this and put it into their own perspective, then it would do more than being close minded.
