We did not win the war...

But we did win a sip from a cup that we once used to own.
And it was sweet.

I was thinking of quitting once again, but when i heard of the great war i was exited. It was something I wanted to be part of. It was just like any other war, but we pretended it was so much more. And it was great, and in the end it turned out to be.

From everyone getting together, in preperation, in name changing, the speeches and the pre battle music. It was like the good old days. It will never be the same, but we are working on getting what we once had back.

We were preparing to face Dragonwood, but fought a clan three times better, without fear. Yes most of us were packing 1.5 - 4m. Although we did not win glory as victors of this fight, we should take respite in knowing that every one of us was willing to put a portion of their bank (or the whole of their bank in some cases) on the line for the good of the clan. And perhaps we will gain a reputation of going into battle fully armed with expensive gear - a testiment to the resiliance of Wildguard; although we may lose again and again and again, we will always be willing to fight and fight with great gear. Unlike our adversaries today, who were wearing rune and hides.

I am sure many of you want to comment on the war, please build upon what I have said. This was the reason I was so anal about the boots, this meant alot and I wanted to see that in the eyes of everyone else.

To next time, friends.

Seeing everyone look the same and charge TBC in unity was enough for me. It was a good time and in the end that's why we're all here. So... same time next week? biggrin.gif

I don't even care that we lost. The way we came together, the effort we put in, nothing matched the excitement that I fealt today in my time in WG. Not only that but it was also a really fun fight.

FUCKING EPIC RECRUITMENT PICS THERE.
Although I wasn't there, you all did so well.
Today is the day I am ONCE AGAIN proud to be a guardian.

This is the beginning of great things and we can only thank WG, every single one of you, for making THE GREAT WAR, so GREAT!
Well done.

Congrats guys you really won whether the final numbers show it or not.
Winning isn't on paper its in your heart.
I wish I could have been with you but my granny is sick and I had to go see to her today.

Good day, we would have crushed Dragonwood 3 times over today. I can't wait for the next big war.

In my opinion it was some of the best 2m I've ever spent. I consider this to be a community event to be honest. It brought unity, nostalgia, laughter, and it showed what WG is really about. We can spend all this money, devote all this time, and valiantly lose against an extremely more powerful clan than ourselves, and come out with our heads held high and our hearts more confident than before.

If I had the choice, I would do this all again in a heartbeat.

Sorry if these pics turn out to be huge, I have a kinda big monitor:

Really was a fun war, my first real fight back with WG (cwa doesn't feel as real). Now i just gotta earn back that mill and maybe a few more to buy equipment, make some more forum post, and get some people to support me and I will be a Guardian again, w/o this trial thing infront of me.

For those worried about getting their money back:

Do the two quests for the kingdom in Miscellania. You can get 1.5m to 2m off of your 525k per week, which would make this feel like nothing. And it is the easiest thing to maintain.

The 2 pictures on this topic of members getting KOed having barely eaten is disgusting. This is why we lost. We had them at the start.

Challenge any creationist to a debate.
They'll run away and aggressively accuse you of "attacking" them and their "beliefs".
I'm sorry, please, keep teaching our kids that they'll burn in hell if they don't believe. Mutilate their genitals against their will while you're at it. Keep influencing politics and holding back vital scientific research.
I'll just keep my mouth shut to "respect" your "beliefs".

I do recall you getting 1 hit by about 20 people, simply because got speared. TBC had alot of spears, so it's no surprise that so many people got KO'd.

Considering they pulled 54 and we 47, we did bloody brilliant and could have won with more even numbers.

I am most impress. Even the loss was a win. We were almost on par with them, and we exceeded our own expectations.

And besides, the respect we're getting on RSC is already worth it.
Guys, I am so touched by the gesture.
I appreciate it, I really do.
