Mumble Meeting

We started our mumble meeting off with some casual discussion about some members having green balls. One even has 8 of them. They can post the details on that.

Next discussion was about a real life competition to dress up as RS characters. The competition was discussed but some think some of our members are to fat. I won't name any name. *looks around*

We had some trolling going on during the meeting but all in good banter and overall the meeting was funny and productive.

This is the attendance:

PVP

1. Fail Tanking - We talked about how lower levels really can't be blamed for this overall failure to tank correctly. We have noticed a lag in RS lately too. So some of the failure could be dependent on the world we are on. Obviously we need some practice.

2. While Piled in P2P - Your prayer should already be on. You then should eat a Rocktail then a sip of Sara Brew. Repeating this. P2P is not about tanking as much as it is about this quick response when you are piled. (If I understood what they were telling me.)

3. Inventory Checks - To make sure that our members have the correct inventory supplies with them. There will be random checks of members. If you are Elite plus, please help out with this. A quick look and suggestion to a person may save them from taking the wrong things.

4. Aussie Raid - This raid happens each week about the same time. It would be helpful to post a topic to remind the members. If you are in #WG and it is within 30 minutes you can occasionally spam the channel to alert people.

5. Recaps - There has been some recaps that have not got written or given attendance. It is very important to keep these current. Our Guardians should not be the ones doing a recap to an event that you held just because you didn't make one. We all have times when we forget or get busy, but no excuses . . . just do it. This is also for community events.

(If you are new to staff take a look at the bottom of the thread, there is a drop down menu that you need to hit to update the attendance. You do attendance then do this so other staff know that attendance is done. Any questions about it just ask me.)

Requirements

We discussed raising requirements. We are going to look at this after Gene wins his contest in Jagex. But for now we are raising the requirement to 70 range. Most level 100+ combat players have this anyway.

This is currently what we are looking at:
FA 100+ Trial 105+ Guardian 107+
We have not decided it yet and we are not sure of time limit to achieve them.

We are looking at making our applications simpler. This is going to be reviewed and some changes made.

Mentors

We talked about our new mentor system. We will be going to 3 mentors that are Elite + Rank. There will be no applications for the position. It will be a Staff Choice.
Once things are finalized, I will post more about it.

Mumble

Some members brought up the fact that mumble takes up a lot of their CPU usage. It tends to lag them out. Others said this could contribute to lag at wars. All agreed that Robbie is to busy atm to look at it. We must do the best we can with it.

Awards

George gave us a sneek peek at the upcoming awards. It sounds like it will be a nice change to the usual ones we had. Thanks to all that helped us with your great suggestions.

Skill Wars

TDM and WG will be having a skill war after the Anniversary. Another one will be planned in the summer for us. The number of days is still in discussion.

Trolling is not Good

We talked about how our members are getting put off by the trolls. This really needs to stop. Hating other countries, religions, members, combat levels, names, or whatever is just wrong. Stop hating, it ruins the fun for the people have to listen to you.

Thanks to everyone that was able to attend this meeting. I really appreciate your input. Hopefully we can put some of these great ideas into action.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”
