For every completed clue you get...let's say 10 points, you then get umm....5 points for every 100k...use your imagination. --------------------   | ||||

| IRC Nickname: Sgtswordfish Group: Guest Posts: 1737 Member No.: 1758 Joined: March 9, 2009 Total Events Attended: 64 | started researching phase of clue scrolls breakdown - scavenge how do players go about attaining clue scroll and best practices - hunt clue scroll level and their comparison/difference -clue scroll loot how is loot attained, how is loot generated, what is the possible variation of loot, the chances of loot, price of loot and wether loot can be enhanced? -possible implementation the best way to rate people on clue scroll is based on their loot. of course the loot will have to be rated based on the difficulty of loot. (lvl 3 scrolls have a higher margin than lvl 2 scrolls and so on). tracking loot will be based on two indicators: the hunt and the loot itself. there can be two scores, best hunter is a definite...the secondary which comes to loot will have to be debated. what i can say is that after i'm done i'm thinking of an excel spreadsheet where u can upload a .txt file of the items that are looted by all the players and the excel file will rate them automatically. as for the hunt. the hunt can be done two ways. one you can rate people doing a popularity contest (people vote on their favorite clue hunters) or two, you can establish a voting cabinet that employs this vote according to policies established within their organization capacity. having two ways of rating people instead of one will give more transparency as the person who gains more loot will not necesarily be considered the best hunter. =summary: by establishing hunt and loot as possible coefficients it shall bring forth a complex and expandable concept that will come to be great for a wider variety of clue scroll fanatics who are searching for a challenging yet effective way to attain bragging rights and prestige in their endeavours. -------------------- Goals 2011 | ||||

ya. was speaking to gorgemaster about it. that is until he went inactive =P apparently it was a competition where u posted and whoever got the highest loot wins. so the amount was calculated using the grand exchange. here's the catch =P the grand exchange prices drop/rise according to occasion and this will influence the final result of the competition. best suggestion on my experience is end the competition mid-week that way it won't be affected by the rise/fall of active traders. -------------------- Goals 2011 | ||||
