It's a series of four poems to be inhaled as one. And when you're done reading it, the answer if "yes" if you're asking yourself if I almost did something permanently irreversible, regrettable, and stupid. Innocence Past the driveway he plays that boy on the sidewalk away from the world’s dilemmas he carves out a world with chalk A veteran of a worriless world the ease of innocence in the park he’s a prince adhering only to the call of his mom shouting near dark Play it cool Older now he attends awkward pre-teen dances he’s nervous since he dodges linked eyes from the girl at which he glances There with his clean-cut haircut he crosses his arms to look cool his mission only to impress dreamy teens too self-conscience to dance a fool A Summery Dream Endless summery infinity a life like a blazing Ferrari endless acceleration with a limitless rush untouchable treasured ecstasy Live the moment reject misery horde all happiness prove invincibility Bliss between him and his girl no evil could break the shackles that bound them so strongly it was flawed but it was fun and it was summer and it was infinity and that’s all that mattered Life Unfiltered It wasn’t always bad he didn’t always fret maybe his innocence just hadn’t decayed yet That high didn’t always last eventually it ended it was engrossing for his friends to watch as his courage sharply descended She left him soon after but it was justified he was gutted completely and all dreamy light had soon died His ghastly past he had erased away now began to catch up memories flooded without restraint he let those demons erupt Melancholy days he can’t escape he gasps desperately for air he’s collapsed onto himself now you can see by his untamed hair Now suffering’s all there is no reason to run or jump pain fucks you up to the core I guess this is growing up -------------------- That's Mr. Glennfase to you.
