     IRC Nickname: markenzie1 Group: Emeritus Posts: 790 Member No.: 2004 Joined: August 9, 2009 Total Events Attended: 180    | FAKE INACTIVITY when i look at the sign ups of an event, I see only a few saying yes, no or maybe. on itself it isn't bad if 1 or 2 don't sign up, but this is what happens when a lot don't sign up. 1: no-one is signing up, why should I sign up? 2: example: only 3 people are coming, so should i come to an event i know we will lose? Both cases could easely be solved by just saying yes,no or maybe. The same thing is happening in the IRC, but in a different way. What happens is: lots of people in the IRC are gone, but they didn't turn off they're chat. or.... people didn't change they're nick to like gone or afk. When someone says hi, and wants to start a conversation (say 20 people in the lobby), he won't get/get few any responses. When this happens over and over again he won't say hi because he or she knows it pointless. Again this problem should be easy to solve. Just put afk or gone in your name, so the person knows your not there, and that it isn't like not being interested enough/ or not being valued enough. It works like this: people won't value me saying hi, so they're not interested in me. Why would I do something for them if they don't even want to say hi to me. these problems can be solved easily (just say hi, get involved and sign up for raids/mh's even if your not coming) ,and I think that this will solve at least some of the inactivity.
