Yeah so Snowzak got a p2p mini for sunday night with Dragonwood, let's say it didn't turn out to well.

The first fight -

Started off great guys, our first piles were excellent, quick easy ko's. Then after our first 5 kills, we went downhill, people were getting ko'ed without there prayer on, and it was only a matter of time before they won.

The problems we had were:

- People were walking around, doing nothing, this was partly the leaders fault for not telling people were the pile was etc.

- Not enough mages, I counted 2, maybe 3. They had about 8-10, that was one of the main reasons they won.

___________________________________________

The second fight -

This started off worse than the last fight, we got our first kill, then we went into panic mode, running around everywhere, hitting random people.

We had the same problems as the first fight, but they escalated into a worser stage, we need to improve alot.

_________________________________________

You say how we can improve?

There are alot of ways, first off, more intra-clan miniwars, these help tremendously, and it gets you together with clan members.

Creating more miniwars, yes they could end up like this fight did, but guess what, the more we do, the better we get.

Getting leaders to call locations when a pile is called, I noticed in this fight that some of the leaders wern't. When you don't call locations it obviously takes everyone into a spin of running around, and commonly getting themselves killed.

I could probably think of more to put here, but I'm tired and want to go to bed so yeah.

___________________________________________

Thanks for coming guys, and I hope to see you at future p2p fights.

~Rob

Sorry I couldn't be there.
I eventually decided that revision was more important than rs sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif oh well it has to be done, I have to squeeze every available hour.

Good job guys, even if you did not win this time.
We will improve for next time, we don't have much P2P experience, so hardly surprising that we lost this one.
Well done all the same

i dced after like 5 kills mad.gif
my net died, and i couldnt reconnect untill now sad.gif

p2p wars are always a bit of a chaos.
we just need the leaders to call a fallin after the rush, so we can start the fight with good piles. because like rob said, every1 was running around, finding the target.

Yeah. I noticed that also. I wasn't fighting, but was on TS, and I never really heard the leaders call where the pile was.

If people don't do this already, have your chat screen always be on the Clan Chat because the people who are dead are constantly putting information there.

I'm not 100% if this is something people should do, but if you're not sure where the pile is. or don't have a click on the person, just use the minimap to run to where you see a large cluster of green dots, at a avery least you won't be standing there asking to be attacked.

We had the lead in the beginning of both of these fights.

I'd also like to comment on Robs note about our magers, and the fact we basically didn't have any. I was constantly saying while we were massing "Who are our magers?" and "Do we have all 10 magers?" I mean, we had room for 10 people to use mage and according to Rob we had 2, maybe 3. Our next war like this we really need to make a list and have people say what they're going to do.

I remember we always did this in the old days, and I think it worked back then. At a very least you know who's doing what and how many people you have in a certain position.

We do learn from the fights we lose; remember our F2P losing streak a couple of months ago?

I think we seriously shouldn't accept p2p wars. I've said it before, and I'll say it again!

we are not ready for p2p wars.

I promise you that 70% of the clan doesn't know how to properly p2p.
I'm tired...
Peace

I disagree, we should do more P2P wars, or at least more P2P CWA events so we can get better at it.

The first p2p war we had in a long time. So our p2p skills generally suck but there is room for improvement.

Really we can't always rely on leaders for piles. Do it like the good old days of spam towers and just calling names. Spamming "Got tea?" is the only spamming we are good at. We need to be better at spamming names for piles.

Instant KO if like 10 of us just hit on guy at once.
Also when u see a mage attack that mage and spam the name. One guy called H a Richard a hybrid survived the whole fight with robes mostly on. I attacked him even when dw was calling my name for the pile.

When u see robes ATTACK!

And i lasted long with sharks hash.png

QUOTE (Indivi2you @ April 13, 2008 04:40 pm)

we are not ready for p2p wars.

Is this situation not so different from us in f2p several months ago?
We lost again, and again, until we were experienced enough
Now look at our f2p now

2nd fight, I nearly 2 speced a guy, but he hugged the wall just b4 second spec. I dont think he intended to do it angryhahs.gif.png

Remember how we weren't that good at f2p warring a couple of months back?
We kept losing fights over and over.
But you see how good we are in f2p fights now?
This is exactly the same case.

Wg hasn't touched p2p for a while, just take this as a learning experience. We'll eventually get better, like we did in f2p. Like, there was a lot of people attacking randoms, which is ok if you are barraged or something, but most of the time, try to focus on the main pile.

This is different from f2p fights. In f2p, basically we only att 1 person from the opposing clan. P2p we attack a lot more people at the same time. So the risk of you getting piled by 1 person is higher. You have to watch your hp. If it falls below 20 off the max, eat a shark because you may get piled next instant.

Always have a protect prayer on, preferably melee.
We bring enough restores so ALL of the time, you have a protect prayer on.
I used piety for a bit too, in 2 spots, at the start + when i was piled.
Walk around in d-hide top + rune legs, gives a good magic def bonus + decent melee bonus.

Anyway, its a learning experience.
We will improve omghash.gif.png
Even I'm a bit rusty on p2p atm, but this war helped.
