George has attendance and will be adding that to this thread. No screen shots of the throne room are allowed. Meeting Attendance:   +JC +Nick POST IF YOU AREN'T ON THIS LIST! We started our meeting with Gene and George being seated on the throne. Everyone took seats and we closed the door. As things progressed we kept order and the meeting took about 90 minutes and was followed by a F2P raid. New Clan Rules 1. No one in AF will be accepted into the clan and no current members, who are not already AF, are permitted to join AF. It would be multi-clanning. 2. His Lordship cc in the game should be used by all members unless you are required to be in another chat. This is to help show our activity and to promote in game recruitment. During peak est hours we should have a whole page of people in there. Gene told of his own experiences of visiting cc in rs and how it showed the clans activity. (This is not the place to push people to attend all events.) 3. Emeritus rank is being relooked at again and should be for retired worthy members of WG. It will not be a passed out rank in the future and will be done case by case. (George is assigned to review the current member list.) 4. All of our community events are now open to the public. If you have a private event then post it in the pvp part of the events forum. George is renaming this forum the private events. Edit by George: Just a few small things to add. In the meeting we also discussed removing the ex-member lounge. This, and the other forum changes (removing the public events forum and allowing the public to view our community events forum) have now all taken place. Recruitment 1. We are going to try to get flash movies on fan sites for recruitment. 2. Try to bookmark "looking for clan" forums and just go on when you come online. It will take less time if we can all do this. 3. Don't use some impersonal pre-typed response on the looking for clan threads. The person is looking for a personal invite to come meet you. Try to give them a personal way to contact you and not just the irc, which often people get ignored in. 4. Gene is going to write up a list of reasons that someone should join WG. Things it will include is that you have activity that allows for personal goals. You don't have to spend all your time working on getting more gp just so you can have endless sets to pvp all day long. 5. Randy will be working on a template for us. 6. Gene has a plan for Runefest to recruit. He will be setting up a table and showing them our website, irc and things. He is also thinking of a raffle for those that register for our forum. (May be RS monthly cards. Members will be able to help contribute to this in some way.) Events Gene has a plea out to all of us to attend as many events as we can. We need to attend even when he is not hosting or coming to them. He is very confident that some of our members, like Randy, can hold great events. George called for members to create their own events. This would be very beneficial, both for the new event host, and for all of the members, since it may create events that we have never had before! If anyone needs help then the Council + Event Leaders are willing to help. Mark suggested that we have mass training events and is hosting one for agility. George talked about his agility event at ape atoll that went well too. We discussed our event catalog too. Use this to come up with things to host. Forum A photo album of WG greatest is going to be created and worked on by many. Gene asked Keanu to work on the cover and Rodney volunteered to help sort some of the months of photos. JM may be asked to make the pages look awesome. This is a big project and many people will need to help with this to get through the thousands of pictures we have. Clan Survival We briefly discussed a plan for clan survival and what our honor code means. We decided that only for survival would certain things be flexible. This is a more private issue and can be discussed in private if anyone wants more details. Leadership Promotions With the size of our members list we are currently good with the leadership we have. As George is stepping down in about 3 weeks, we will be opening up a council application thread at that time. But other than that, there is no plan to promote to leadership until our numbers increase and we need more staff. However, if Kenshin is returning as gossip suggests, we will be trialing him out then shortcut him into leadership. This is because of his abilities and his past with WG. Miscellaneous Jenny thanked Gene for his sweetness. KCross let us know that TDM would like to do war practices together. I will be working on the Mentor program. Overall the meeting went very well and thanks to everyone that attended. This thread will be moved to recaps in a week.
