Been playing with some friends from my wow guild, done some 1v1 but been doing some 2v2 tonight, and rocking face. 1 loss and 3 wins I think? As toss/toss. Our first win, took over an hour, but was oh so sweet when we got it. I did a DT rush to throw them off while my buddy massed stalkers, kept the Zerg busy (Toss/Zerg against us), and they spent most of their energy fending him off, then once my couple of DT rushes failed, started teching out, massive expansions, while my buddy kept em busy with stalkers still. Massed a 13 carrier fleet, which was readied just as the toss player came at us with 8 carriers and a mothership, but I was way ahead of them upgrade wise, and blew him out of the sky losing only 2 carriers. Proceeded to assrape both bases, then spent the next 20 minutes playing hide and seek destroying their expansions behind the air defense walls they had built. It was AWESOME. It was supposed to be the game of the decade (2000-2009) but it took so long to be released. Wait what? Sure, LK wasn't exactly fantastic, but it did have several interesting concepts, such as hard modes and achievements, which were really good, and Cataclysm, going by what i've seen in the Beta, is gonna be way way better, but that's still absolutely no reason to take it out on Starcraft. Sorry, but if you think SC2 is a bad game, you're retarded. Now, if you dont like RTS games, that's all well and good, to each his own, but if you do enjoy them, you can't not like the most balanced and influential RTS franchise in history. -------------------- Born at sea, baptized in blood your fame will never die. C&C is pretty influential, but Starcraft is the fucking national sport of Korea. Cant top that. By C&C 3 it became whoever has the most units wins. And the bots in that game were terrible. If I remember correctly it was developed by EA LA and they were coming out of doing the Battle for Middle-Earth games (BfME 2 is one of my favorites actually) and the bots in those games weren't very difficult, so they just made the high-level bots in C&C 3 cheat. -------------------- | ||||
