Ok so with my PC im getting annoyed because on windows XP SLI mode will only work 1 monitor and i have 2 monitors. On Windows Vista / 7 it will run SLI mode and will work with both of my screens plus i believe windows 7 has multiple other advantages over XP. I was wondering what would be easiest i didnt partition my HDD like i should have when i got it so everything is in 1 place OS and all my files if i straight upgrade ill lose everything. So would it be easiest to create a new partition and put Windows 7 in there and everything will work ok ?

If you can backup your files onto an external HD or something then copy them over that would best.

However, dual booting is relatively simple, just partition the HD using Gparted or the Windows default one (assuming it exists on XP, I don't remember) and then just use that to install (there is an option when you run the install disk). It would probably be a pain long term, and most programs would have to be reinstalled due to compatibility/registry issues anyway
