This topic is getting pinned up until the time of Runefest.
It outlines pretty much everything relating to the clan's participation.

I. Attendees
II. Schedule
III. Recruitment Tactics

___________________________________________

I. Attendees

We're hoping for at least 6 people to go to Runefest. 10 is the golden number we will aim for.

His Lordship
Elyxiatic
Stokenut
Groedius

II. Schedule

Check back later for plans on where we meet and what we plan to do. When JaGeX releases further details we'll let you know. We're also taking requests.

III. Recruitment Tactics

Again I'm too lazy to type it up now. But I have a plan to get a table set up where people can browse our website and forums and videos. More on that later.

Awesome. I obviously can't attend cause I'll be in California at the time tongue.gif.

Should be a great opportunity though to recruit some members. I doubt that many other clans (aside from London based ones) will have recruitment tables. Hopefully our table (if we get one) can manage to hit the Runefest website. This should be a big and great way of getting our name out.

I have to say thank you for your dedication and leadership Gene, considering (I'd assume) you're flying all the way from Australia to do this. Only a true leader can pull that off, and there aren't many out there. WG is extremely lucky to have you.

Already explained why I won't be there.
For future reference:

It is 90% likely that I will be away that weekend. I am working in a theatre from end of July---> 21st August up in Edinburgh, then I have to be at home for my 18th birthday.
Sooo that weekend is really the last chance I have to go away you see.

As such, I don't want to waste £80 on a ticket that I may not be able to use anyway...
If I am here, I will come and meet you all before/after runefest.

Sorry sad.gif

Gene. We will meet. One day.

I cannot afford £80 tickets plus transport from Northwest England to London to spend the day with a bunch of Runescapers.

However, I will put forward as much financial support as I can and I will still be in London during the event (My dad lives in Greenwich), so if we do anything else I will be sure to be there for it.

Nah, that £50 HAS to be for my shirt. Tbh fuck it, I'll do what I can and save up with gigs and so for a RuneFest ticket, and make sure I go. I actually forgot it's a few months away, so with a bit of will power (less alcohol) I should be able to make it. Plus I want the banner tongue.gif

By the way I'll have to send the £50 on Monday as I didn't get to deposit it earlier. How was I supposed to know banks close at midday on Saturdays? dry.gif

I don't know exact prices and paying $1200 for one day is awful silly. I would probably spend a few days and visit most of WG in England lol

WHAT THE FUCK?

Exactly.
Its costing me 2.2k Australian dollars as well... for a week, and its more expensive to fly from here.
I'm just more willing, and Joe is inflating the ticket prices and spending money massively.

MM checked the ticket prices that's the actual price of tickets. Sorry I'm not made of money. If I lived in England I would be there.

Joe I'm not unhappy with the fact you can't make it. I don't expect ANYONE to pay that much to go, or even pay anything IRL ever.

Its just that, you can't say Australians can do it an you can't, as that gets on my nerves.

Not saying it just amusing that people in England can't make it when they live on a small island with a mass transit system.

A trans-atlantic trip would only reasonably involve staying at least two weeks. So lodging at the modest price of $100 per day for 14 days would not be out of the question plus food would up the cost but the fest would be epic. It is unlikely that I will go but it is possible. Still looking at air fares, last look was $1,200 round trip--what so cheap. I am envious of those who can afford it but if it comes to the states, I would likely go because transportation from Ohio to east coast is moderate, to the west coast is likely close to $1,000--yep almost as expensive as Europe. Best wishes to those attending.

I've estimated that for somebody from England staying Friday-Sunday (2 hotel nights) including the Runefest ticket, travel, accommodation, spending money is about £400. Going down to as little as £140 for the basic ticket and return train for the same day.

It's really not that bad.
