This is one of my older (Windows Movie Maker era videos) and I wanted to share it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZW7rTyP83Gg&fmt=18

It's from late 2007. I was working to join the clan cXs (The only clan who could rival WG's community), and they let me attend this war. They had a good relationship with LB and were fighting them in a 45-minute returning war (What would be called a PK Run-In or PKRI these days, but it was something completley different then) at the Bandit Camp.

The bandit camp is an epic war zone. There is a lot of space and features for tanking.

Take note of the spamming. Both cXs and LB had ~130 opts at the start, which is around 43 people. They were getting incredible spam towers as you can see - without having to be reminded on Ventrilo (Their audio software). That's the sort of thing we need. I never once could not find the general area where the pile was. I don't think they even had to say it more than once on Vent. But this is probably due to cXs's limited amount of binders. You were allowed to only melee, so our binds weren't great but we made up for it by far.

Also look at the spams for the fall-ins. As soon as you fall in on the leader, you should be spamming your face off with "WG IN". At that point you're only following and waiting for instructions so spamming is your priority.

As you can see, we had a regroup spot north of the store. If a leader called a regroup, everyone would instantly move to that spot except whoever was being piled - making organisation a lot better.

Take note of the LB snipers. They were almost always on the high ground south of the pizza shop. The height advantage for long-range units is very important.

Seconds into the war half of LB piled me, and I hugged them off which was cake. My real tanking starts at 6:15 into the video. That's a good example of tanking, except I was out of prayer so if you get piled, melee protect on tongue.gif Also I managed to loot about 2 more inventories worth of food from LB members who got KOed. That won't happen nowadays, but if you see a drop, the PvP system will sometimes make some half pizzas or other food show up for everyone. These can be worth an extra few seconds of survival.

The Bandit Camp war was pretty epic. No clan nowadays thinks of warring there. I personally think we should consider it in the future, as it's a really fun location.

I said OUR binds weren't good. LND had 5-10 people binding, which is all they needed as you can see.

LB, as in Lethal Blades.

Multi-clan excuses didn't exist in 2007.

Just because AF has mandatory raids doesn't make em a clan hash.png
