Use the calendar when making events please, and also make sure to attempt to alert people in game when an event is occuring, not many exceptions should be accepted tongue.gif

I was using the calendar when I first made events, but then realised it's fairly pointless. Back in my old clans when we used InvisionFree forums, there was a calendar option which showed the latest upcoming events within a certain amount of time (I'd usually set it to 1 or 2 weeks), which would appear along with the users online stuff at the bottom of the main board homepage. Maybe if IPB has that we could make it more prominent somehow?

Every single event is put onto the Event Times tab at the top of the forums.
That gives you, not only the date and time and a link to the topic, but ALSO, when you hover over the event, it gives you the time and date IN YOUR TIMEZONE.

This is far better than the calendar.

TUN @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

If you have people added asking them nicely to come to events works a lot, they might have just forgot.

Calendar lets you know even further ahead things I would assume - event times is gone

Why do we even have a calendar option if it's so great?

The event times tab will list events as far into the future as the event is.
If I was to create an event today for a month from now, and then put it in the box, it woulc show up as being 30 days away or w/e.
It's exactly the same as the calendar, provides the same function, but is easier to use, easier to access and links to Robbiebot, so he can inform you of the next event in the IRC.

Also - you can't remove the Calendar option, it's a default on all IPB forums (i think).

Hey robbie, do you think an actual event time would be possible next to the count down? because I need to know what time things actually are in terms of within 30 mins for work related things - and doing the countdown is kind of a hassle

Hover over the countdown and it will tell you the time of the event in your timezone...
