Recruit people I think the WG community would enjoy, and somebody who is an active member within the clan. When I say recruiting I don't mean recruiting some random person you got to say yes and abandoning them after. If you recruit someone then stick to it and talk to them on a regular basis. I make that an everyday goal of mine. My goal as in how many I will recruit? I don't have one. I just try to recruit when I can. My Strategy: The first thing I do when I am trying to recruit is look at the new topics on Runescape Community's Looking for a clan Forum. Some people say once you find one to actually try talking to them instead of copying and pasting. The way I do it is just paste the WG recruitment template and wait for someone to PM me interested, and I just help them with any questions / try and persuade them to join. Don't get me wrong, I have tried typing out something special for each person, but the rates do not increase so why bother. After I'm done with Runescape community I usually try to catch up with the people I recruited. Online or offline I try to keep in touch even if it requires personal messages on forums. I think the most important part of recruitment is recruiting people you KNOW will be good for WG. The best type of recruits you could get are old friends that know a much different friend circle then you. If you really go out of your way to get these type of people, it would have the best results. When you recruit someone outside of your normal friends circle, that means that have a completely different list of people they can try to recruit from. Slayer is an amazing way recruit people. You tun into so many different people while training slayer. I start off with the small chat chat, like when they started playing, what they like to do etc. Usually when it's old school players it makes it a lot easier to relate to, which helps my recruiting process. After we both add each other I usually try to get them into CC and talk to them there. I let them kick back in CC for awhile so that they can get to know everyone and for me to see how they are with actual WG members. As well as invite them to any public events I see them on for. Once I feel they will be a good addition to WG I finally start talking to them in private about joining the clan. I start them off by having them post an intro to see if they like the vibe they receive from replies. If they do then it's all clear to help them out on their apps. Personally I try to get them in TS myself and read them the rules. When they are accepted that's not where the recruiting ends. Now you need to maintain a solid friendship with the person that you recruited, as well as WG members. Never just recruit someone and then never talk to them after. That's why we have people who don't make it past trial half the time. In my eyes whoever recruits the person SHOULD be the mentor. I also try to stay on a first name basis, as well as introduce all of my recruits to each other and others. Anyway, I will read over this and try to find if I see anything I need to add. Had quite a nice turnout. Me, Clown Horn, Hammy, Kcross, and Burn orange were spamming "join wg" "Join His Lordship CC" etc for a good hour or two. Think we might have found a few people who are interested. I plan to experiment with this. Log 13 Today decided to try and add a fun dungeon challenge mini game in my house for a sideshow attraction. I plan to start opening my house regularly and looking for recruits to join WG. You would be surprised how many of those people are friendly and easy to talk to. Log 14 Threw a house party and had quite a few people in CC. It's hard to recruit while spamming the yan portal for people to come in lol. Hopefully we can have some WG in CC for backup next time. Log 15 Did a house party. I plan to try to do them at least once as day. It seems some of the people are returning to our CC even when I don't have a house party going. Log 16 Didn't do much towards the recruitment drive today, but I did suggest to everyone to bring kittens with them to the raid. (which was quite funny lol.) Log 17 Over 9000 WG event's today.
