Raid Leader Applications

Luke (Slayz0rr) has been demoted. Sorry you could not maintain your activity, but it is hurting the clan and holding us back. All positions in the raid leader camp are now subject to change at any notice, for anyone. So do not fail to host a couple raids and be active during the week!

DZ will carry on being a mentor to new raid leaders while being a raid leader himself until our staff base is stronger and more active.

With that said we have a new raid leader position open! I know some of you want a shot at it. I encourage anyone eager to do a great job to fill an application. We want someone that can last a long time and be highly active for months.

Please be advised were looking for a GMT time zone raid leader to compliment our other staff.

Besides that you will need the following which you should already possess...

TS3 Installed
Microphone and speakers
A good knowledge of the Wilderness and Clans

You are also expected to be able to give clear solid calls over TS3 with confidence and without delay. IRC is definitely required as it is for all members in the clan. We look well on those that are very active as well.

Applications CLOSE on Wedseday the 28th at 8 PM GMT

Post your application here on this topic!

GMT would be nice but we would like any strong applicant. If you can flex your hours for other time zones that is a plus too.

No position of the current raid leader staff is permanent and is subject to change. If you can be a better raid leader for that time block that is something very very helpful.

Time zone: GMT -6 (I'm very versatile with my time, I'm usually at every raid).

What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader? I am dependable, I am a natural leader, I am confident and will never quit, I bring a sense of honour and reliablity to the table, I am strong-willed and refuse to be broken.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader? My ability to lead without forced confidence, my ability to stay level-minded in tough situations, and the quality of my leading.

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive? Nope.

Is there anything else you would like to say? I may not have the levels, or the money to help me get the levels, but I do stand by everything that I have said in my above answers. It's not the quantity of levels that I have, it's the quality of my leadership that makes me perfect for this position. If I am given this opportunity to become a Raid Leader, I swear to you all, that I will put forth 110% of my efforts into leading and strengthening myself to become the perfect candidate.

What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader?

Above all, I have experience. Over the past two years of clanning that I've experienced, I've seen massive changes in the wilderness. The BH crater becoming "The Wilderness Volcano", +1 worlds, and stuff like that. Being under the leadership of some of the most amazing PK leaders in multiple clans(and a team) over the past two years and taught me amazing strategies that will help a clan overcome anything.

I have also held a leadership position within WG. Council for about 8 months. I know how things work behind the scenes with WG, and I know what to be ready for as a raid leader.

Also, contrary to popular belief, I actually can be serious enough for a position like this. I know people think I'm an absolute spastic sometimes, but when it gets down to it, I can really be serious about my job. I don't dick around when shit gets rough.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader?
As I said above, experience. I know how the wilderness works in today's clan world, if it's in F2P or P2P. I've learned what strategies work and don't work, and I don't intend to push WG further than it's capable to go.

Change comes in long term moderation, not tiny bursts of flame.

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
None. I can stay much longer than a few months.

Is there anything else you would like to say?
Guys. I know right now is a TERRIBLY crucial moment for WG. We're barely hanging on by a thread. This position is not to be taken lightly.. whatever decision is made on who will become a raid leader, make sure you know it's for the best of the clan, not the best of your wants. This position, given to someone who isn't quite ready for it, could be very disasterous to WG.

What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader?
Well when i go out with friends (pking) im the one who leads them so have experience. Go to a fair amount of raids so im used to which targets to call.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader?
Luke i believe was GMT and as he no longer is raid leader means we have no other raid leader in this timezone i am +) +) +). Have been clanning for a good couple of years and have led small groups of people on f2p pking as well as on p2p so experience compared to some.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
Well from the 31st this month im away for 3 weeks on holiday and then i go again on the 27th of august for a week +S

Is there anything else you would like to say?
Good luck to all. And best of luck to whoever gets it. me being away maybe a problem.

What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader?
I'm not going to make any amazing promises about instantly changing WG or hosting 9001 raids everyday, but heres what I will promise:

[ ~ Activity ~ ]

I have a lot of free time right now so i'm available at most times, I don't mind staying up late or waking up early to make events. I'm capable of hosting both f2p and p2p based events and aim to host a mix of both regularly.
We've been neglecting f2p alot lately so I plan to make a few raids/wars for f2p too, while still keeping the p2p focus.

If for some reason I am unable to continue my activity then i will step down, I'm not going to sit around doing nothing while taking up a staff position.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader?

¤ Experience ¤
Having being an ex-raid leader I know whats expected of me, I know whats needed and I've done it all before.
I have experience with mod cp/Irc commands and such.
On top of this I also have quite a bit of experience in both f2p and p2p, from not only the years i've been in WG, but also LnD(f2p team) and AF (#2 P2p) which has taught me varied styles and techniques of leading.

¤ Dedication ¤
I've been in WG for almost 3 years now, yeah I've ragequit a couple times but I've always come back, WG is my home.
It makes me cry a little seeing WG in a slump, we are getting better but there is still work to do.
I Want WG to succeed and i will do my best to see that through.

¤ Levels / Cash ¤
It does help being maxed as a Raid Leader especially(or 99def/good tank). As you Will be piled often, it is important to be able to tank.
This is where the cash is important.
As you will be piled first mostly, you need to have a good number of sets, and a good way of making cash to buy more when needed.
I have years of experience with tanking, a good number of sets and have no problem buying more.

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
Well i guess anything can happen really, but at this stage no, I have a lot of free time right now.

Is there anything else you would like to say?
Yeah.. about my timezone. I'm Australian and I understand you're looking for a GMT leader, I am pretty flexible with my times though.
I don't mind staying up late or waking up early.

Other than that, I'd just like to wish everyone good luck.
This is a pretty important role.

This position is huge. Don't take it lightly because remember, you're LEADING the clan in battle, not just making events. With that said, good luck to all who apply.
