Requirements: You MUST have at least the Guardian rank. You MUST be active. You MUST be willing to make at least 1-2 high quality creative event(s) a week. This position consists of not only hosting and attending events but keeping all attendances and recaps up to date along with holding a Half-Op position in the IRC channel. The applications will be open until Thursday August 5th. Once the applications have closed the candidates will be considered by Council along with the help of the current staff. After discussion the result will be posted within one week. Make sure you are commited to the duties posted above before you apply. The Form for Applying: This form is the basic format to fill out your application. Be serious, this is not just a simple duty. Its one that requires constant dedication throughout your service. Post your application here on this topic!

Experience: I led Dead On Arrival pretty successfully for about 3 years, as well as a skilling clan for quite a long time. I've led hundreds of events over my time playing runescape. This can guarantee you that I understand how event systems operate, and the time and effort needed to get the job done. A friendly atmosphere: As many of you might of noticed. When doing events I like to have a good time. Rather then going to the event and getting it done with, I can offer you a spontaneous, random, and fun event each time! WG needs imaginative Event Leaders, someone who can think up good events. Are you this person and have you thought of any events already? One event type thing I've been working on for ages is my house for a house party. I have completely maximized it for fast prayer runs and everything you need in a house. I see this as a golden opportunity to recruit people during a house party. You would be surprised how many people you can get in a house in a short amount of time. Not to mention the whole house party scene is fun as shit. What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader? I'm strictly WG for the community. You wont see me online just for an event and then disappear for the rest of the day. I always interact and listen to people in WG. This will help me choose events that the people in WG want. As the above says, Experience! Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive? Yes, around October/Novemberish I will be busy with real-life obligations for around a month. Is there anything else you would like to say? With or without the rank Events Leader, I plan to be an active member as I have tried my best to be so far. Not to mention I lead an army of clowns. What more can you ask for? One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability? As an event leader I will stay active as life permits me. im 12 wat is dis But seriously, I had so much fun as EL. Not the position, the rank LOLOL. The shit you get to do... It's probably not the same anymore cause well dw about it, but when I was EL i got away with errrrytanggggg. Oh and you should be putting up 2-3 events a week... sigh, youngbloodz. I guess there isn't that old spunk anymore  In all seriousness though, if you apply for this job don't take it as a joke. In WG's time this is a very important position. The random flaming on crap is so true, just learn to be reasonable about it. You can't let people think you're immature. Decision making skills really come in handy for this spot. You are representing not only you, not only WG, but the staff in general. One might think since you weren't reasonable, the whole clean leadership might not be. As an event leader I can offer loads of time. I spend most of my day on runescape, and the majority of that wishing I had some interesting event to go to. As an event leader instead of wishing for an event I would have more power in making events. I would lead lower lvl mass boss fights, f2p fun events, and larger scale community events. I will even take the time to post certain community events on fan forums and the runescape forums, advertising that this is a WG sponsored event for everyone in runescape. WG needs imaginative Event Leaders, someone who can think up good events. Are you this person and have you thought of any events already? (If so please name and describe them). If you talk to the people who know me best in the real world, you will learn that I am very imaginative. I do sometimes struggle though to find a way to turn my crazy ideas into a possiblilty on runescape. One event I have designed for runescape recently is Sardines. This event will be good for trials who need attendence credit, and has possibilities for recruiting. What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader? I may not have a ton of runescape experience, but I do have experience outside of runescape as a leader. The most similar to being an Event Leader would be my experience as being a co-leader of a youth group. My biggest responsibility with the youth group (besides keeping the other leader sane) is to design the activities we do outside of our lessons. These activities are sometimes relay types (im working on a runescape relay races), one on one or group sports, and games that require a lot of mental exercise. Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive? I am going out of town Tuesday, August 3rd, through the 8th. Not sure about my internet access, and I will be going out of town again around Thanksgiving. Is there anything else you would like to say? I've known WG a long time, this is first time I've applied for something more than being a regular member. Thanks for helping me relearn the ropes after my return from such a long break. Nothing, I have never done this before and I'm not experienced. But there's is one thing that puts me apart from the others and that it, that i always work hard and try my best to succeed.
