I purchased the original (and the 2 expansions + GWEN) earlier this year, I only managed to get around 2/3 of the way through Prophecies though. I found myself soloing most of it, it was too hard to find other players as there are very few new people going into the game now, it's all the pros in the clans doing PvP and farming gold.

With that being said, it was a good game and if the community aspect had been better I would've enjoyed it. I will definitely buy GW2 when it's released, as I won't have the problem of a poor community as everyone will be new and stuff =P

I used to play a LOT...then I bought an Imac and it would not run on it.
I will probably buy this and play even though ncsoft created Aion which to me was so fail.

Yeah, Aion was pretty fail, imo, too. I wish they worked the system a little better. The Koreans got (and are continuing to get) all the cool updates while the western players are left waiting for the U.S. team to produce.

Hopefully they'll make some major changes in the future, because the game does have some potential.

More on topic, though. NCSoft has a pretty respectable record so far.
I expect GW2 will be awesome. The original game structure was ingenious. I'm just worried my computer won't be able to handle it... lol

Has anyone taken a look at "Blade and Soul" and "Terra"?

GW2 looks pretty sweet.

I played GW a lot like 4 years ago when my old clan got into it and gave up rs. Was an awesome game, got to like the volcano missions before giving up for exams or something. Always tempted to have another crack at it, but i didn't like how you had to committ to a mission once you started it, its a bit tying

A pretty long demo there but with a lot of actual ingame footage, it's looking pretty damn sweet lol

GW1 was immense, looking at the new abilities and graphics, this will certainly be a buy for me so long as there isn't any monthly subscriptions.

I heard there was alot of pressure from blizzard as there wasn't a monthly subscription for gw1, but hey companys can charge what they like.
