I think highlighting all WG members in IRC (and spamming #wg_lobby with /notice +#wg_lobby) will greatly improve the pull to events.
I personally don't always hang out in His Lordship cc, nor do I pay attention to clan chats much, but I am always in IRC when I'm online on RS.

In the past 2 weeks it has happened 4 times that I wanted to attend an event but forgot about it (while being online).
Sure, you can blame this on my own laziness, but I'm sure this happens to other people too.
A highlight 30, 15 and 10 minutes before the start of an event would be great, and maybe once every 5 minutes with a "/notice +#wg_lobby" (only voice and up can read it).

Don't highlight too often though, really annoying tongue.gif

Good suggestion.

I know from my time in AF, when an event was called there would be mass highlights so people knew that it was time to mass.

So, it does work.

/names #WG_Lobby
/names #WG

Those are commands for mIRC that spit out all of the names that are in that channel. It is put in your status window. Just copy it, and paste it, then say it, giving you a mass highlight.

Highlights are good. I also like mass pms because it flashes on the screen and people usually see it.

Yet another reason to ignore highlights. There is a point where it's overused.

I find quick pm to people works really well and they don't get hostile or mad. Actually they are likely to come to the event.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
