First of all; I like to pull my weight in clans that I'm in.
I don't want to be 'that guy' that tells people what to do after being in a clan for 2 weeks but I am experienced enough to give people tips and some inspiration for improvement.

Graduation oddities:
Especially the 10 friends rule is confusing and a bit useless.
Was the requirement implemented so people would get more than 10 friends (to have 10 exactly on line, at once), or is the requirement to make sure every graduate has 10 friends exactly?
Both of these seem reasonable, community involvement is important if you wish to become a part of the community, but when I'm advised to go in His Lordship cc (by high ranks) and just ask people to add me instead of making 'real friends', doesn't that completely defeat the purpose of the requirement?

Calling:
I haven't experienced calling a whole lot (f2p clan wars for a few minutes, and a fun god wars event so I'm not aware how calling in WG goes when everyone performs to the best of their abilities, but I'll give some general tips anyway.
When calling, the audio should never go silent. There is always information you can share while attacking a person; indications of where they are: which gear, what surroundings, which overhead prayer, are you typing a specific something in game people can look for?
Callers also need to call spears and freezes. They need to pay attention to the clan chat to see where it's safe to return from and call that, or tell it from personal experience. Callers need to pay attention to the mini map and tell the members to push in whichever direction when needed, they need to look for barrage piles and call them.

In short; callers need to speak non stop and share any and every type of information with the members.
Calling takes an ungodly amount of time to master and whoever makes split second decisions is bound to make mistakes, but a good caller is invaluable to whatever clan he or she is in.
In my old clan we even let a guest (that was well acquainted with most of the members, though) call in a 5 hour PKRI which we won. Callers make or break wars and I feel WG is lacking experienced callers despite the age of the clan.

The first step to improving WG's player versus player aspects is, in my opinion, making the callers better. So callers; train. Don't be afraid to talk non stop and try to get experience in less-important fights.
Don't be afraid to admit your flaws and mistakes happen to everyone.

Calling:
I might fail to see the purpose of the Event Recaps forum, but why move an Events topic straight to Event Recaps without writing an aftermath? This occurs quite often.
Maybe make the Event Recaps sub-forum available to all guests and from now on only move topics suitable to be viewed by the public?
An easier solution would be making a 2 sub-forums inside of both event forums titled [over]Private Events[over] and [over]Community Events[over] and just move all topics of events that happened in the past there, if the officials feel an Event Recap should be written, just do it from scratch and spend some time on it. Event Recaps of -very- eventful raids, 1h+ PKRI's, victories while insanely outnumbered etcetera can be posted on RSC's clan fights forum, which is a great tool that should be utilized for recruiting.

A few small things I've noticed:
-There are still URLs to the websites of ex-allied clans.
-I think it would improve the amount of introductions (replies to introduction make people feel appreciated -> makes people realize the clan is active -> makes them apply) if the introductions and applications forum was moved to the top of the site. First sub-forum visible.
-Redundant and outdated information in pinned topics. This isn't too important, but there are some flaws in pretty much every sub-forum's pinned topics. If each official took 1 or 2 sub-forums it shouldn't take longer than an hour or two to make everything perfect.

Yeah, scrap the 10 friends. The graduation topic does need a re-work.

I also fully agree that callers should never stop calling. I implored the method at our war yesterday. Well said.

And of course, the recaps. I tried to make suggestions on this, I got flamed. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Getting the 10 friends my seem a bit hard and pointless, but it makes sure people add each other on the game. I don't think the rule should be dropped, maybe changed around a little where you can take multiple screen shots or that they don't have to be online.

As for the event recaps, they are usually moved and then edited with an aftermath.

First off it was me that suggested you do that and I think it is a good way for you to meet more people in the clan. It is important for us to have many ways to get a hold of each other. WG uses our FL, CC, IRC, TS, MSN, E-mail and a calling service. I even have phone numbers to some members. So should it surprise you that we like to be able to contact you in the game? It not like we say members have to have all of the clan added it is just 10 members. If I haven't seen someone for a long time, I can simply ask in IRC if anyone has. Usually it gives us an idea if you're for some reason not playing or not joining IRC. We also use this as a way to invite to impromtu raids and remind for scheduled event. It is not forcing anyone to make friends as they can choose who they want but it is important to make them aware of the importance of adding each other.

I have to agree with you on the events recaps being a bit of a mess. Sometimes even events missed altogether getting recapped or attendance updated. Usually one of the staff has to go back through it and make it all current. It is a real pain to do too. We do not like the events area to get cluttered up so that members don't know what is yet to be attended, that was the original idea of moving them. As of current I have used the Clan Matters to Recap and do attendance for Private Events other than wars/raids. At our staff meeting last night we were discussing a sub forum to be added. We do occasionally have RSC clan forum posts for our pvp events. However, we still have a recap on our own forum for the history of the event to refer back to it. If you look in the recaps thread, you will see in the titles that it let's you know what is going on with the thread. Like it says over, recap, updated, and that. This is the method the staff uses to know what is going on with each of those topics.

I can work on the URL's and the pinned topics. Staff did discuss moving the introductions and applications before after you and I talked in irc pm. For now I believe this will be staying the same.

Thanks for all the input. I know that council has read it and we are looking further into things now.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

One of most best posts I've seen from any member of WG in my time here. The only flaw is posting on RSC when it should be posted on Tip.it instead.

I agree with it all - great post Jouke.

I've been banging on about that ever since I terminated the alliances at the end of June... maybe something will be done about it now.

Our calling hasn't really been that much of an issue, well, i haven't been here for the last month - still away, back on Sunday, but in general WG callers have been good in the past, fulfilling all that you describe above.
I do agree though that calling is definitely pivotal to the success of a war/raid and practice is needed to make things good.

Moderators can't do that by memory, they handle topics, not forums/links on the site itself. Anyone with root admin can delete that though.
