Here's a couple poems that I wrote while I was in math class this past week when
I finished my homework. I'm just sharing, and I would not like constructive
criticism, please. I love the way I write, and I write with my heart, whether or not
the poems are good or not. Personally, I think these are crap.. but who knows.
Anyways, here they are:

Happiness Of Life
09.28.10

The twinkle of her eye,
The sparkle or her smile,
The safety of her presence,
The contentment of our lives.

The beauty of the stars,
The tranquility of nature,
The open expanse which our world,
The contentment of our lives.

And those, who have seen such pristine happiness
Are not above,
'Nor below.
But those that dream. Those that dare.
You are already there.
That is the contentment of our lives.

A Gift
09.22.10

The grass tingles between my toes,
Miles upon miles of emerald dream.
Not a murmur, not a sound. Absolute bliss.
Her eyes glisten in the sun, her curls entangle my mind.
Thoughts are caught. Moving, forever, endless, everlasting.
It is not what one might know, but what one doesn't.
For when the glisten goes dull and your mind is released:
Such times as this, one will know what has been lost.
And that, is the most unfortunate of gifts.
A gift which -has- been received... how unfortunate...

The first poem is about things that make you happy. Contentment of your life. And then it talks about that if you do have those happy things, it doesn't make you better or worse than anyone else. But, if you dream to be happy, then you are already there, because you are happy.

The second poem is about my missing my girlfriend. It's saying that you can get lost and caught up in your thoughts and once you've lost that thing that's keeping you caught up you'll realize what you've lost. Knowing what you've lost is a bad gift, something that's happened to me.

Wow ohmy.gif You're so talented! I've always been a sucker for poetry and these are definitely well-written. Don't you ever think that these are bad because if you write from the heart, that's all it matters. After all, you're creative and creativity comes from your heart as well as your mind. Bravo! wub.gif *applauds*

Awh, man!
Shucks!
Well thank you so much! It really means a lot to hear that coming from someone else who enjoys writing. I don't seem to make writing a thing I do often, I have to feel it and that's what makes me happiest. When I'm upset or in the mood, I just write and that's why I think my poems mean the most to me.

But once again, thanks for the compliments, it's nice to know someone enjoys how I write.

I also have a passion for writing as well. The genre of story depends on how I feel (usually I write stories that have drama and angstiness to them as well as romantic parts to them or even action sequences. It really depends anyway) and if it's a poem, I write from the heart based on any inspiration that comes to mind. In fact, I had posted a poem in this same section as well. So if you would like to, you can check that one out.
