This is to be followed religiously.

1. If you are 95+ Magic, you MUST mage.
2. If you are between 90 and 95 magic, you may choose for yourself. If your ranged is below 90, you MUST mage.
3. If your mage is below 90, you should ranged/melee hybrid.
4. You may not be pure melee or pure ranged.
5. If you are maging, it must be Ice Blitz only.
6. Mages are maging for the entirety of the war.

1. MYSTIC WATER STAFF (No elemental of battlestaffs)
2. Zamorak book is ideal but I'm too poor to buy one
3. Arrows are unneccessary unless tribriding
4. Rings can be inbued dragonstone if you have them
5. GUTHIX CAPES ONLY
6. If you can afford to, take 450 runes instead of 300, just in case.
7. Last minute change. Dragon boots are now infinity boots. If you're super stingy, mystic will do.

1. When piled, click on first three gear but NOT spear
2. Spear is for any occasion the clan requires more spearers.
3. Potions are: Sara brews, magic potion, sanfew serum, super restores, prayer potions
4. If you tank better without pizza, you may opt for that.

1. Arrows must be poisoned. 200-250 poisoned arrows required. (Any type of weapon poison is allowed, as it's hard to buy in the GE.)
2. Everyone must have a spear AND scimitar/shield in inventory.
3. During war, half will ranged, half will melee. Listen on Teamspeak to know what you are required to be.
4. The clan must have 4-5 spears out at any time, rest will be melee/ranged.
5. Set to rapid fire, not longranged or accurate.
6. Rings may be imbued dragonstone rings if you have them.
7. You MUST WEAR GUTHIX CAPE
8. Potions are: Sara bres, prayer potions, super restores, sanfew serum, super att, super str
9. Start the war with bow equipped. Allow one space for shield.
10. If you tank better without pizza, opt for that.
11. If you consider yourself expert, you may take draonhide chaps for the ranged attack bonus. Be prepared to switch EXTREMELY quickly. Not recommended if you are not an expert tank.

OTHER NOTES

I decided not to go for snakeskin boots with the archer warriors because the ranged bonus is minimal compared to the defense loss.
No DDS. If you bring one, a warn level will be given to you.
Farseer helmets for mages are also not as good. You lose a lot of def points offered by the dragon med.
The point of splitbark is to have higher def points. If you switch gear in time, that's much more effective. Splitbark is for people who can't switch gear. You should all be able to switch gear.

noob where are your skirts???
also d boots for mages isnt really good, they should use mystic not dragon boots, because they arent doing damage with melee, only spears
Phoenix Necklace: When your life points drop below 20%, it'll raise your life points by 30% of your max LP.

Sanfew Serum: Cures poison & does what super restore does

spear located at bottom to use the f keys for quick spears

Granite Shield for melee/rangers

Rune Kite has these defensive stats:

Stab: 44
Slash: 48
Crush: 46
Magic: -1
Ranged: 46

Granite Shield has these defensive stats:

Stab: 40 (-4)
Slash: 42 (-6)
Crush: 38 (-6)
Magic: 0 (+1)
Ranged: 65 (+19)

Alot better range defence for little loss in melee defence, but since you are praying melee, it would be best to have better range/mage defence

For a non-returning war, I think most of WG would gladly pay 1m for boots.

Are prayer books neccessary? They offer little bonus in offence as opposed to a huge loss in defence.

Sara books are inclined towards defence, which shields are better for defence in anyway. You would be better off with a shield, since these do not offer any offensive bonus at all.

Unholy book is usually used towards the +8 bonus magic bonus (the other offensive bonuses are minor), but offers no defence at all. +8 magic vs +50 defense stab/slash/crush

Guthix is a balance in between these two. +4 magic vs +50 defense.

EDIT:

Infinity boots only give +2 mage offense/defence for 1m... plus they're 2006. Not a game maker

Infinity boots won't win us the fight but they contribute in a small amount. For a war of this size, 1m is a reasonable request.

Prayer books offer bad defence but any decent mage would be able to switch instantly. What else would you have in that spot? I put a rune kite there and it took shitloads off the magic attack. So there's no alternative apart from an empty slot.

Rune kites will give -8 mage in return for +40-50 defence in various stats. I guess if you count in the opportunity cost, you would lose 12 mage (guthix) and 16 mage offence (zammy) for the defence bonus

However, Just having only a helm for defence makes mages an tempting two-spec target. DDS specs can net in the +600s. A person has a very good chance of two-specing a mage out with only a +40 defence. Add in turmoil, and that chance rises significantly. Most people will only be able to get their prayer, or armour + eat by the time the second spec comes.

Just my two cents.

Edit: I re-collected my God Cape. T'was easier than I anticipated -- no dangerous wildy, from what I remember.

Edit: Food is also taken care of. I wasn't quite sure which kinds they were, but thanks to Armybuilder for selling me some of his stock.

At this point I'm forced to improvise. This is for the record of my current situation: I don't have barrows gloves yet, don't have poison for arrows, don't have dragon boots, don't have access to spa's yet. Everything else I already have prepared.

I also only have 800k left in my bank, at the moment. I'd be willing to sacrifice it to buy dragon boots for the war, but I'd really rather not, as it might basically cripple me financially for the following weeks-month.

Once again, I have to apologize for my rate of adjustment to the game.

if you lose your god cape, you can always go back to the mage arena bank and get a new one, get a guthix cape
