Tertiary Applications

We have several key openings in our staff.

One of our best Event Leaders ever has just taken Emeritus and hopefully rejoin us as Elite in a couple months. Thank you Rob for all you're devoted service and just making this place a lot more fun! smile.gif

The two positions applied for are separate forms so read either carefully before applying. Please apply only if you think you are ready for this responsibility:

I keep on my staff very heavily to keep doing their job, so activity with making events is very important. Not just hosting them and making a topic but also promoting, doing the recap topic, attendance and generally making each event successful. With all that said we must work together as a team so you have to be available at least 3 times during the week generally more to discuss ideas.

Good luck with the application process smile.gif

yes,

----
title: random killing

everyone who is joining has 76k on him and wears full iron.
i will ask someone (in irc, with a pm) to take a ordinary piece of equipment (like a mithril skim instead of a iron).
once he puts on his item all will atk him and the one who dealth the most damage will get the kill.

it is possible to add an ep gaining part to the event, so that the 76k drops will be nice.
the event is exept for the fun also very usefull, as you can train your reactions without the real danger of a raid.

What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?

So please be prepeared that there will be some mistakes in my spelling.

One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability?

What do you have to offer as an Event Leader? Constant weekly events spanning up to 3 per week.
Creative events.
Allied events and inter-clan events to help build the relation within WG itself and build a stronger bond between us and our allies.

WG needs imaginative Event Leaders, someone who can think up good events. Are you this person and have you thought of any events already? (If so please name and describe them).
Allied clan war free for all: Allied clans fight in a p2p or f2p fight in the CWA FFA area and the top clan gets determined and holds the top ally until the next time this event happens. (Every 3 months)
76k wars: each person in attendance carries 76k and a weapon and a staff to tank with. There are 2 teams and war-ish scenario will happen.
What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?
I was the Events coordinator for Raining chaos and I have organized several successful events therefore I have experience in making and leading events on a constant basis.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
Not one thing.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Not really.
One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability? I won't dip into inactivity, it's just not me to do so.

What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader?

I believe I have everything required to be a raid leader. I'm decisive in combat, slightly charismatic, and I speak clearly. The last two raids I've hosted proves those character qualities. Without having all those qualities in a raid leader it puts us at a huge disadvantage.

I'm willing to return as many times as possible to win the fight. The ability to do this quickly, in good gear, is a must. I'm willing to help those out that don't know how to do this by posting guides, giving tips, and talking stratigies with other members.

I have a good amount of knowledge of the clan world. I have been with WG for two years in total, and have run my own clan before. I look forward to creating ties with other clans to help our raids improve. Through this, I think we could get even more people interested in WG.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader?

One of the biggest things, that makes me a better applicant, is my ability to learn from my own mistakes. Most people don't realize how important this is to being a good leader. I tend to be very critical of myself, and try my best to improve each time I raid. I also listen to what my peers have to say about my actions.

Each time I've hosted a raid, I've asked the group before they left what I could improve on, what went wrong, and what went right. I have never seen anyone do this before. Through actions like this, I think we could make WG a stronger fighting clan.

Another thing that makes me a good applicant for raid leader is the fact that I'm in the military and I've been trained to dependable, to have tact, and to be unselfish. I have to be where I said I was going to be, when I said I was going to be there. The clan has to be able to trust in me, else we'll fail. You have to have tact when dealing with criticism, and voicing your own opinions. You could easily offend someone or cause discontent withing the group. And above all you must be willing to donate your own time to make the clan better as a whole.

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?

The only problem I see here is the fact that I'm in the military, and it does come first. If I have to go to the field for a week, I have to go. The fact that I'm also deploying in May of 2011 is another thing that I believe WG should know.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

Thank you WG for the friendships you have givin me over the years. I wouldn't change a bit of it.

What do you have to offer as an Event Leader?
I offer loyalty, even reoccuring events if others enjoy the event i hold. I have an imagination for event, some may be stupid to some, but they may also be very profitable or very worthwhile for some, but not all events are for everyone :smile2.gif but will try to cover all aspects not just SKILLING Sides or Combat sides. Will Cover All Fields smile.gif

WG needs imaginative Event Leaders, someone who can think up good events. Are you this person and have you thought of any events already? (If so please name and describe them).
I Would Rather Not Post This Information here as it may be a breach to my success of being an event leader, and others may use my ideas smile.gif if you would like more info on these events please PM me smile.gif

What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?
IM A KEEN AUSTRALIAN. DEDICATED AND LOYAL

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
AFAIK, No, but as we all know, anything can pop up. but on these terms, no.

Is there anything else you would like to say?
I do work, but im mostly home by the time kids get home from school, or most get home from work so, this will give me time to prepare for the events i host. smile.gif could be an advantage but i will let you decide.

One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability?
Definately. i have no reason to fade out, and be a lame Event leader with an imagination like mine.. i dont have plans on growing any marijuana plants at this current time but i will let you all know if i do smile.gif

What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader?

Activity is my key. I am on nearly all day everyday, plus since im Australian, all wars and pks are in the morning, which dont clash with anything.

I also have been around clans for awhile, so I have learn't many things about leading and tricks behind it.

As well as learning how to lead, I have experienced leading many times, having lead many Australian Raids in the past, even when I wasn't in WG, as well as hosting spur of the moment raids over the last month or two.

From all my previous experience in leading my team in basketball I know when its a close game, mentality is the difference in a win and a loss. So I know to keep moral high and keep people believing. Also I know when the going gets tough, you can not give in to pressure, stress and fatigue, so you have to put in those extra effects to succeed.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader?

- Activity.
Having just finished university, I have nothing that clan clash with clan events until mid March, and even then, I have University 2-3 days a week, mid-week, so I have the privlidge of being able to make and attend raids on any day, especially weekends.

- Experience.
I have had a role on staff before, so I understand that WG comes before my own account, and I understand how to do all the basic staff tasks such as updated attendance, working on forums etc.

- Detication.
With over 3 years in WG, I have been around to know how things work and I have been there through the major changes in the clan so I know what has to be done for the better and what can cause things for the worse.

- Personality.
I said this to the principal when I applied for school captain and he said it was a great line, so I will say it again. I see myself as a "Person of the People", someone who has little things to connect him with every type of social group, whether it be sport, games or music, which makes me a person easily approachable which many common things to talk about. This will help with people feeling free to talk to me, and also listening to me when I would need to lead.

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?

Aussie IRL Meet, Christmas.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

I understand if elected, it would mean 3 Australian Raid Leaders (2 if Justin is stepping down, 1 if Jordan doesnt take Raid Leader back), but that doesn't mean I am only going to be active in the AEST timezone, only lead at the Australian Raid. I plan to attend every war (as i have over the past 2-3 months), and attend most, if not all preped and spontanious raids, as well as host a few myself.

So does it really matter if I am Australian when I am awake everyday during our peak pking times?

What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader?

As a raid leader I can offer plainly my self. For the past 4 years ive been involved in clanning of various sorts and all times with a position of leading. Yes it has been mainly F2P pvp but through my time here. I know my way around both now. I can offer my time to WG and my activity only recently a post showed my outstanding attendance.
At least twice a week I pk as a duo + and am used to leading the group and calling who we pick on first I believe this shows im already able to lead and call.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader?
I think what puts me above other people apply is the amount of warring I do. Only last week I had 5 wars within 7 days. So I have experience and im used to doing what I enjoy. In addition due to myself being in numerous teams ive got a good knowledge of various clans as they are made up of various different people from various clans which I believe helps know whose who.

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
I have one exam in January but I doubt that will make me inactive seeing as its only one.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

In all honesty nothing. Good luck to all and whoever gets chosen Good luck we shall support you all the way.

[b]What do you have to offer as a Raid Leader?

I'm willing to keep coming back as many times as I need to during wars / CWRI/ Raids. I will never let my clan down when it comes to a fight against a clan that isn't as organized as us! I will also help anyone when it comes to gear for stuff like this. If it means to waste 5M on them?.. I'll do the best as I can.

Honestly, I would love to lead a war that I would be happy to win under my leading. Raids etc, I'm sure everyone loves raids and that is what I would be looking forward looking into. But not 24/7. Also, I will be up-to-date when it comes down to wars - raids - PKRI's etc.

What puts you above other people applying for Raid Leader?

Everyone has leading skills these days. I think I'm just a leader that you can count on into doing everything just so EVERYONE in WG isn't confused when it comes to keeping up with us. I don't think I'm better then ANYONE in Raid Leader ; were all even. But I still think I can stick leading for quite sometime. Also, I have a lot of patients when it comes down to leading or even a backup caller. But, I look at myself as a strong Raid Leader who won't give up after losing Wars and Raids!

Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?

Honestly, No. Rs is a daily thing for me when I have free time. Which is everyday, since i can't play sports due to my shoulder - and my ankle. But other then that, I'll be the best as I can to stay on for the 6 months in my RS career.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

Forgot to mention ; Yes I was also once a warlord in CoS - also in NS (No Smoking). So, I do have a lot of experience when it comes to raid leaders / warlords / backup callers. I really really wish everyone who is depending be coming a Raid Leader I still think I can handle being a Raid Leader since people love the way I lead neko2.gif. Yet again, not saying anyone here can't lead ; I just think of myself as a stronger leader who will give it all I got into winning a PKRI - a War - Raids - CWARI etc. I will never NEVER let my clan down when it comes to any wars. Yet again, I wish much luck to everyone who is looking forward into being a Raid Leader and you know who you are. Keep up the hard work guys!

For raid leader, Cory is definitely my choice.
Armybuilder is a leader in another clan. Being a member is fine. Double leadership no.
Joey's great but he doesn't listen very well and he's a little new.
Jayson is great but we're re-promoting Jordan, who is also Aussie.

For event leader, Markenzie.
Supra has massive attitude problems and the Aussie timezone is strong enough.
Kung Man is a bit hit and miss. He doesn't support certain facets of WG.

I'm just worried about Cory's inactivity.. and the fact that he skips PvP events sometimes. But, he is really mature, and has gone through some intense leadership training through boot camp, so he'd be quite good for the position.

As far as Markenzie being Event Leader. He's got the heart for it.. but. I think he's kinda. Not all there, if you get what I'm saying. I don't wanna seem biased or anything, it's just the fact that it seems he'll be a bit slower than others.

Despite all that, I believe those two would be the best people for the positions.

Guys, don't have any worries about Mark. Me and him are great friends, and I will mentor him until he gets into the groove of being an event leader. He will do great in this role for WG, there is no doubt in my mind about that.

Those choices are good to me. Glad we all feel about the same on these picks. We can post these choices early if you want. Re-promote Jordan too after talking with him quickly to confirm he is ready, given he still accepts the terms to do a better job.

TBH, I am not sure about Jayson. It has nothing to do with his pvp ability either. His conduct and behavior is less than appropriate for staff. As a person, he can be very nice and friendly. But given his tendency to troll on people worries me. I do recall his being an event leader in the past too. I have noticed an improvement over the last two weeks.

We should let the applications be opened again in a short time if they are needed for either EL or RL.

Mark is Autistic, if you didn't know that. He is an outstanding member that has come so far socially. He talks on ts, hosts, interacts in IRC, and posts on the forum now. Huge improvement from when he first came to WG. I watch over him too. I think his friend base in WG is very good.

For those that don't know the term:

au·tism
   /ˈɔtɪzəm/ Show Spelled[aw-tiz-uhm] Show IPA
–noun
1.
Psychiatry . a pervasive developmental disorder of children, characterized by impaired communication, excessive rigidity, and emotional detachment.
2.
a tendency to view life in terms of one's own needs and desires.

This could describe a lot of people. It is so not noticeable with Mark. He is just so terrific compared to what I have worked with in my job.

This topic will get moved before they have access to it.

I would prefer seeing Jayson as raid leader than Jordan. I really don't see why you guys are so enamored with Jordan. I didn't think he showed enough good things during his time as staff to earn a second go. He was very underwhelming in terms of his leadership and work ethic.

Just by seeing his personality, I think Jayson has more to offer in terms of work ethic, leadership ability, and activity.

Just look at the war Jordan just set up. He didn't bother including any American timezones because he was "Not sure about america because of daylight savings".

He's really too lazy to google timezone conversions? Or take a look at my very easy-to-follow thread about timezone changes due to DST in General Matters?

Seems to me like his effort level hasn't changed much, and he's not really showing how he deserves to be a raid leader again.

Is this really who we want back in staff?...

It was part of the deal. Though it seems bad now I'm not a deal breaker. Unfortunately.
