Vephy has spoken to Rachel about how he is really really sad about leaving and knows he made a huge mistake, but the stress got to him so badly.

The council unanimously wishes to see him return, but one thing is standing in our way.
Our own rule.
Banned rank is permanent.

In order to get Vephy back, we have to break our own rule, but we don't want to lose your faith in the banning system.

Therefore, we're putting it down to a poll.
This poll decides what we do.

If we unban him, he'd have an Elite Guardian rank.
Council elections would go on as normal.
AND, this would never happen again, even for me.
This rule has to be unbreakable. It is to protect us from harming the clan. Enforcing the rules is what helps keep the clan strong.

The rules are made to keep WG prosperous, but sometimes they work against us.

Unban. He's too good of a member to lose over something so stupid.

I mean - what if he does it again?.. I know he goes as an Elite Guardian, but what if he try's out for Council again? And manege's to get it. But personally, I think he should just stay as EG, I don't care who knows my vote - I'm putting yes. Also, yeh start him as trail guardian with a mentor and see how it goes. Even though it might be weird for him - he has to deal with it.

Yes, but I would like to see a formal explanation/apology posted by Vephy from his perspective.

I would start him off as a trail again, just to see if he'd truly dedicated to WG and also for fairness towards the other members.
My vote is a yes, he's a great guy and a good friend.

I vote yes, ON THIS CONDITION.

Veph is a great friend and all, and I know that Council takes its toll. I just don't agree with anyone going from straight from banned to Elite Guardian. Taking into consideration the manner of his leaving, as well as what else he has done for the better, I think that a re-start from application stage is a suitable solution if the rules are to be broken. That's the condition of my vote.

There should be harsher punishments than just removing his council position.

I know for sure that I warned him on stressing out over the position, plus he was warned when he applied for council. He had chances already to take back his actions within 24 hours of them. A week later (I am estimating off the top of my head) is a bit too late to return without some type of punishment.

It is not like it is a last chance type thing where he should be on 80% warn, because we know he is a great member. As much as I liked him being council and all, I don't think he should be one again. Making him start back over at trial is a punishment that will make him work back through the ranks, which just takes time. Making it where he cannot be council or staff is a punishment that lasts forever, just like banning.

I voted yes because he is an amazing member, however, if you want to at least keep within reach of rules, there have to be conditions other than just not returning as staff.

If you want to completely disregard the rules, then have no reprimands other than him being elite.

I really hope everyone agrees to let him back. Vephy is a great person, and even as a behind the scenes person like me can see it.

I've read the basics of what happened and the whole I quit and all, but shouldn't he be given a chance to redeem himself?. We've seen a lot of crazy things come from the ranks recently.

I understand that he must be feeling sincere. But I just hope he does not return with an attitude.

I'm not loosing Nathan. Get him back please. I miss him, and it's obvious we do. There are exceptional cases, and this is definitely one!

Everyone has their moments, and this was Veph's. We are only human afterall. The thing is: We learn from them. And i'm sure he has.

(really rushed, as late for football - but this topic needed a reply asap! Hope the point gets across)

I'm personally against the inflexibility of our bans. I agree that some people should never be allowed to return (Such as Mugger and Dale), but at the same time its wrong to catagorize a person like Vephy with people like them.

Just be careful when you use the word "Never" over something like this.

Not sure what hit the fan but i liked vephy and he was dedicated to what he did, proving he is a good asset to the clan.

Ofc with anything like this, not allowing him to be council or anything for a while.

Of course you all know how I voted, but I truly am aware of how it can happen. For those that were in the IRC not to long ago and I said I felt like rage quitting. It can happen to any of. We sometimes let our own emotions take over instead of letting our brain think it all out to the end of more then the moment.

Yes, That's all it needs.

Vephyrus is a fucking amazing member along with being an amazing friend.

He was there to help me and I'll always help him.

After all he put into this clan and the imense idol of a member he was, I can't see why this poll is even necessary.

What is going to happen, We all know it, It is inevitable.

I've seen numerous times that Gene, especially, has been criticized for bending the rules. The complaints are a bit ridiculous, in my opinion... and this is essentially why; the rules are not bent for Gene's personal benefit as much as for the clan's sake, literally and/or ideologically. There should already be an understanding of the important, primary set of rules. Then, there are the more minor rules -- which are more flexible and liable to change; lenient. And that's often the case.

I've seen members that were allowed to do or say things they couldn't under more strict circumstances, for the sake of good faith... and over time, it seemed like they grew to expect it as a right instead of a privilege. And when Gene or a council member finally told them to tone down, they threw a tantrum like they had been violated. Am I the only one that thinks that's retarded? Because it happens a lot... and there are always people crying about it.

Anyway, in regards to the actual topic... Of course, I say let him back in. Unless he broke any important rules - which I'm not aware that he has - then I say bring him back with an appropriate rank -- which is not Trial Member or Council. If he has, then make him Trial Member.

Whatever the case, I don't think he should be made council again unless he fights for it... fiercely. Or, the Council themselves really want him to be.

As for public perception... screw them. Frankly, it's not their business. And that also goes for ex-members.
