Old system: You remained unskulled, until you attacked another player. When you attacked, you were skulled for 20 minutes, after which the skull would wear off, unless you died in which case you would lose the skull. Current system: You are skulled as soon as you enter a Bounty/PvP world, and remain skulled until you leave the world (20 minutes afterwards, or until you die. You can see the relevance to ARPKing and how we defined innocents.
