Hello members of Wilderness Guardians,

I know that this topic is probably going to come to a shock to most of you considering all the time I spent on my application and all my enthusiasm for joining. I guess I didn't think things through and didn't consider the possibility of what I was doing to my friends that I left behind in Lethality.

As much as I love this community I have to leave for now. I hope that you can change my rank to clan friend and still allow me the chance to get to know everyone here in WG. Even though I've only been here for a day, I've sincerely enjoy the company of those of you that I got the chance to talk to.

For now, I cannot say what the future will hold in store for me, and I apologize thousands of times for my uncertainty. I hope you can all understand my indifference and the situation. Thank you for the wonderful time Wilderness Guardians.

My Regards,
:Brent147

I can't tell all of you how much it means to me that you've all be understanding of me. That is a rare attribute in clans, and one that I respect very much. Please know that I intend to join Wilderness Guardians again someday, and for much longer than a single day. Until then, I hope to get to know all of you much better.

With my regards, respect, and love,
:Brent147

I've been talking to His Lordship, discussing the situation and the more that we've talked about it the more I've been able to work through the mayhem that is currently my Runescape life. I will explain in detail what happened with Lethality and why it's made me feel so indecisive. I feel that I owe you all this explanation.

I joined Lethality in October of 2010 shortly after Burning Creation died off. I wanted nothing to do with ranks or power. For most of my Runescape life, I've occupied numerous ranks in several clans and was simply to the point of being burnt out of being the "go to guy when shit breaks or becomes dramatically overwhelming". So I settled into Lethality in the hopes of being nothing special, simply a regular member who attended events and contributed to the clan when necessary.

Not even a month had gone by before I was approached by the soul leader of the community, and asked to apply for a Council Commander position. After being given numerous reasons why they needed my help as a staff member, I accepted with great reluctance.

As my Council Commander period started, so did many things that set in motion the downfall of Lethality. Prior to joining the Leader of the community had relations with one of the members who later became Warlord. Apparently another individual joined the community and was also appointed Warlord, and that same Leader developed a thing for him. (Mind you the relationships all began before I even joined.) The drama that surrounded those three individuals caused problems of epic proportion. They failed to heed my warning that inner-clan relationships between high ranking officials rarely ever ended well for any community.

As days passed, things steadily got worse and worse. The single leader of the community became so inactive that she seemed non-existent. The other two Council members were just as inactive if not more so than she.

I took the initiative, as I had countless times in other communities in the hopes that with my nurturing care that the community would survive. And so it did, until recently when the three Warlords decided to cause trouble. I was away during the day, running errands and dealing with real life issues.

Upon my return I found that in my absence of just a few short hours, that everything I had worked so hard to achieve for the community had been destroyed. The Warlords were very impatient and did not understand that a community recovering needed to focus on community, not reputation. They we're angered that we had a 20 man pull to a war. In their rage they decided to take it upon themselves to attempt a merge between Lethality and Ascension.

I was very upset by this, being that they had announced it publicly to the Lethality community, before even hearing my thoughts or feelings on the subject. And when I refused to preside over the death of a 3 year old community, they rage quit. Leaving me the only active staff member in the community. At that point in time I was already carrying the dead weight of the inactive Councils and Leader. After their mass quitting, I was then expected to juggle a total of 7 staff positions by myself.

As most of you would assume, when they announced this "merge" to the public of Lethality, it not only sunk a huge rift into the center of the clan, it also countered all of my hard work. In the weeks leading up to this, I had done nothing but positively encourage the community and reassure them that everything was fine. That went out the window, after their show of disloyalty. Several people were quick to follow them, without any sort of consideration. Many of those people pointed the finger of blame at me, exclaiming that Lethality would fail under my leadership, that the drama was my fault, and mine alone.

At that point, I had finally lost all hope of Lethality surviving. I made my resignation, but was not in poor spirits. I made my introduction and application into Wilderness Guardians that very same day! In one incredible day, I found a place to call home. As I've said before this community is nothing short of amazing. In that singular day, this community won both my heart and my loyalty, and still holds both.

That however could not account for my actions, and the fact that Lethality's existence was in the balance of life and death, and the outcome depended on my Leadership.

I am a very forgiving person and I feel that their is magic in true forgiveness. I wanted so badly to forgive the members of Lethality, their accusations against me, and that in itself left me vulnerable. My mistake was allowing them to much forgiveness, because they turned it around on me, and I made a foolish decision to try and help them. Of course everyone that slandered me, and the village idiot have all left, which made the guilt all the worse, because it was coming from friends.

I made my leaving post because I needed time to decide what I had to do, and I truthfully believe that I had to go and help Lethality. I rushed to their aid, only to find that they weren't as bad off as I believed them to be. I spent most of last night setting things up for them again and giving them their chance at success. Though they will judge me and think that I am abandoning them, I feel no need to remain a part of Lethality.

I've supplied them with enough ideas and enough of a chance to build themselves back up, and possibly become a decent clan once more. And having that knowledge is enough for me, it's enough peace of mind for me to finally make my final decision.

For those of you who haven't figured it out yet, I will be staying in Wilderness Guardians. I've finally found closure, which is what I've needed since this entire ordeal started. I cannot say that fulfilling all of the requirements of Wilderness Guardians is going to be easy for me, but I give all of you my word that I will do my very best for this community.

I simply hope that all of you can come to understand what has happened and why I had to find my closure. I sincerely hope that each of you can find the willingness to allow me back into the community and forgive me my indecisive mistake, and help me to put Lethality in my past, where it rightfully belongs.

"This is my testimonial to Wilderness Guardians: One fateful day I found a community that was so unlike anything that I had ever experienced in all of my time in Runescape. A crowned jewel that shined brighter than any other in the clan world. One day is all it takes to become a Guardian, and one single day is all it takes to know your home."

My Regards,
:Brent147
