Guide for Referring Someone into WG
By Kingrandy0

You may have noticed the option of "Referring" someone into The Wilderness Guardians so that they may become a Trial Guardian. Before you post a referral for someone, you should be aware of these guidelines first.

~Only Guardians and above may post a referral~
The logic in this rule should seem self-explanitory. When you graduate into a Guardian, you are proving your trust and dedication to the clan. Not that we don't trust Trial Guardians, but in order to see that your friend would be a good member, you must be a member yourself.

~Referrals must be 30+ words~
The longer your referral is, the better chance that your friend has of being accepted. Referrals should be very detailed, anything along the lines of "he is my friend, he is cool, he is a good pker! (the end)" will be declined. We want to see why this person is good for WG. If you want to be positive your referral is good enough, I recommend making it 50+ words.

~You must know the person you're referring~
When you are referring someone into WG, you are telling us that you know and trust this person. If a random guy that you have never met before asks you to write a referral, your answer better be no. Be sure you have known this person for atleast one month, or been in a previous clan with them.

~Use good judgement~
Just because they are your friend doesn't mean they are right for WG. If they are barely active on runescape and/or don't know how to use forum or irc, it's best not to refer them. We are only looking for people are are right for the clan, not just that they have a friend in it.

~Example referral~
Referral for Kingrandy0:

I think that Kingrandy0 should be accepted into The Wilderness Guardians because they have shown me that they would be perfect for a clan. They are always willing to help me out with anything and they love to have fun. They are very active on runescape and love to use forums. He is a great guy with a chill personality and a great attitude. He is experienced with clan warring and knows what to do.

Goodluck on your future referrals!

do we recruit ppl, such as at the event coming up
next week, when only ppl that we personally have
known for awhile can be referred?

Well you could get to know them from the time you recruit them, or they make an intro, to the time they apply.

That time really goes quickly sometimes. I might meet them and they are trial guardian before the week is up.

Goodluck on your future referrals!

interesting, so in order to have members first we have to know them

this places heat on them than us mostly due to the fact that when they come to the lobby they are met with a large group of people with a variety of likes.

in rs its almost as difficult.

this is interesting since it hinders us from gaining numbers but works to give dedication. its a double bladed sword.

biglaugh.gif

i'll love giving the intros a challenge, if anyone gets my reccomendation they will have to go thru the most tough requirements. perseverance, trust, and a godless sense of wat hell feels like.

just playing. but it helps to know we have to be responsible for the new guy
