This forum is not for Pointless topics, Post Counts, or Needless information. Its for Creating friendships, Sharing Important information, And Getting ready for important clan events. The quality of some peoples posts/topics have been disgraceful. We want to make a good name for WG, and having posts that have no point isn't helping us. Please put this into recognition as I do feel its important to make more quality posts and topics.

Think this belongs in Suggestions, Compliments, and Rants but tongue.gif

Seriously, if I can make a semi intelligent reply the rest of you can too. Joe NH or other such variations don't count.

Honestly, the quality of the forums is alot better these days to the first time I joined, stilll a fair bit of pointless stuff, but atleast people aren't just posting one worders etc.

I can see your concern, and you're right there does need to be some image of the clan built in this forum that isn't "PISS OFF, KEANU" or "Trololololol."

I'd like to start my point with a quote from Peter Drucker:
“Quality in a product or service is not what the supplier puts in. It is what the customer gets out and is willing to pay for. A product is not quality because it is hard to make and costs a lot of money, as manufacturers typically believe. This is incompetence. Customers pay only for what is of use to them and gives them value. Nothing else constitutes quality.”

The supplier of the product is of course the poster, and the customer is the person reading the post. It's all a matter of perception.

To make a good, educated, and thoughtful post, one doesn't need to fill a post with quotes, a million sentences, or a funny retort. A thoughtful post is one that engages the reader; something the reader can relate to; something the reader wishes to be a part of. If I make a thread titled "Lets talk about BASEBALL" that thread will exist all through the summer and hopefully by the end of the summer will have all clan members as interested in baseball as I am talking about their team, discussing big plays, etc. Even if that thread only has a consistent two posters, I wouldn't say it was a waste of internet space because those two posters have engaged themselves in conversation over a common hobby, and in doing so have strengthened a friendship (or a playful hostility).

To bring it all into perspective: it's not what you post that matters, it is what your post creates. If you write up a topic that receives replies that lead into discussions, you've written an excellent post, even it it was about Keanu, Justin Bieber, or Baseball.

It's not the quality of the post that matters, rather the quality of the friendships generated through the posting.

I'd say this thread has done an excellent job of opening a path of discussion, therefor it is a good thread.

I'd like to add two side notes:
I appreciate the way in which this clan handles it's problems. Putting them on the table instead of keeping them locked up is an absolutely excellent way of letting the community know two things: that you trust them enough to share a problem with them, and that you are not afraid to face any criticisms that may arise.

The second side note I'd like to add is that my reply is not an attack on anyone, any procedure, or any habit. As always, it is me placing my two cents into the jar to be agreed upon, debated, or detested, whichever the reader decides to do. All replies, good or bad, contribute to the greater good of community building.

Making posts that are unneeded is what i want, not paragraphs, paragraphs of gibberish is just the same as 5words that have no point
