Just posting my thoughts on our recruitment through Jagex.
It's probably come to its end after this fight.

We've had a spectacular show, with four features on the front page... wait, five.
Runefest was a great investment. It ensured our popularity and although we only recruited like 2 people through the pens, it exposed us BIG TIME to Jagex.

Now as we have this fight, I doubt Jagex is going to call on us for anything else in the future, so appreciate it while it lasts.
We've had a really awesome run, but I get the feeling this is it.

Well that's a shame. I figured WG would always be close to Jagex. Well here's to being hopeful neko2.gif

Jagex is, above all else, an enterprise. Their main goal is to make money, and with the publicity our actions (well, your actions since they're mostly pre-me) doing just that, I'd be suprised if the gravy train ended permanently. The ball is in our court, per se.

This may be the end of Jagex publicity for a small time, but as one of the oldest clans and one of the most respectable, I can certainly see that gravy train coming back to this station. It is our responsibility as a clan to bring it back. Here's how I propose we do this:

1. Stay honorable. Be a model clan for others to follow and show them that being good, honest players in a good, honest clan is absolutely rewarding.

2. Don't seem desperate. When Jagex needs us again they'll call on us, but if we make rash decisions to try to extend the stay in the spotlight it'll only reflect poorly.

3. Hold community events. Jagex is looking for clans that engage the populus of RuneScape. If we were to hold massive runecrafting trips, house parties, or anything else the community can be a part of at ANY LEVEL, Jagex will see that. The more we engage the community, the more money it makes them.

4. Make ourselves a part of Jagex-sponsored events. If they're holding community events, we need to show up in clan colors and support them. In return, they'll do the same.

Ultimately we must treat Jagex like a business partner instead of a boss. The more money we make them, the more they'll make us. If we scratch their backs, they'll scratch ours. The more we're around for them, the more they will be for us. It's a delicate relationship, but I don't think it will come to a complete end. If anything, I believe it'll be cyclic (which is a strategic business choice so that Jagex doesn't appear to be showing favoritism to us).

Timbo is in to those speedsters?

I'm kind of neutral on this. I think it's great what has happened and what is to come. Whether or not we get a huuuuge helping hand from Jagex again is really okay with me.

I don't think it'll be over. Like Damien said we're rolemodelling for so many other clans. They'll come back eventually.. That's my believe
