Just an idea I came up with today. I'll start posting my first text that I wrote today so you can have an idea of what to do. Just share your thought on anything with the clan smile.gif

PARTAY-TIME! ...Or is it?

I went to a party today, even though I was feeling a little sick - Some sneezing and coughing, not too much.
Getting there, after blending in with everybody (it was a family birthday party), something grabbed my attention: People were talking and gossiping useless shit around. Every subjects included - except for the person's birthday (the reason why everyone was there in the first place). When people blend in, start talking and having fun, they will most likely forget what they are there for and what's their objective on staying there. There's no conscience. They just want to have fun and that's that - No thinking about the consequences in the near future, just the present. I have to say, I forgot what I was doing there as well quite a few times - I ate too much crap and made my cold even worse dry.gif

Question: Would you rather be in a party or a funeral(a place in which people know what they are doing)?
Would you rather be unconscient on a party, having no idea of what's happening around you? Or know where you are, getting the consciousness that even if you have fun you WILL die, which normally happens on a funeral?

Ehhh i mean... a party is just a social event so are sport clubs etc.. you might as well say would you rather go to parties or be part of an activity club, because theres a goal or a similar interest in the activity club, a funeral seems a little morbid to me and i doubt any1 wants to go to one. but i get where your getting at...

Neither, I'll take the pub. Don't go to parties.

Parties, birthdays etc are just excuses to get together and get drunk. When we celebrate our birthdays in Denmark we only think about getting drunk and having fun. Why sit around and sing birthday songs all day long.

And why would I be at a funeral? It's just a reminder of death. Hell no..

Kinda silly question you've got going there mate tongue.gif

It's all about the event. Getting 'lost' within a party atmosphere and starting to talk about things and not really having a purpose is part of the party itself. It's always more fun after a few drinks too. xD

Other such events, like you mentioned a funeral, have a specific purpose and thus a specific thing to talk about. There's order, and people don't normally get out of hand, as it is supposed to be respectful.

There are things to be gained from both. People to meet, ideas to share, good times to be had, or to be remembered.
