I think its something to do with the filters but im not entirely sure. any solutions? -------------------- ![]() |

Here's what you can do to test this out: 1) Go to where the phone line comes into the house (your basement or wherever). Bring your modem, your router (if you use one), a phone, a filter, a splitter (there's probably one on the main line already) 2) Put a splitter onto the main line. If there's one there already, unplug everything an just plug in your phone with the filter on the line in a socket and the modem in another socket. EDIT: If it's a hard-wired splitter... well crap, i'll have to look at how it is in my house later. 3) Connect to the internet! Try it out, see if it works. 4) If it works, call your house or get someone to call your house and see if the call drops your internet connection when you answer the phone. 5) Come back here with the results. Or if you have any questions. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
