No post counts transferred. Ranks will be mostly transferred, with a few changes. All new topics written from scratch. Spam and face a 3 day suspension - no forgiveness or leniency. These forums will be shut down in 7 days. Take what you wish, but NO SPAM. ____________________________________________________ II - The Core List ... a last chance for some The members on the BYPASS LIST may be given their ranks on the new forum immediately. The members not on the bypass list must speak to me before being accepted onto the forums. This includes ALL Emeritus. Forum PM, IRC PM, or in-game PM is acceptable. Those in my throne room get first service. Do not assume any members are in any form of trouble because they are not on the list, but a few are. I have since decided against this. Be aware that at present, nobody is being kicked. ____________________________________________________ III - The Descendant Guardians ... a junior clan We will be re-opening our junior clan from 2006, the Descendant Guardians. They will be using the same forum as WG but will see different boards. The non-clan boards such as Guest talk and Runescape and Real life will be our common ground. The requirements to join DG are 90+ F2P Combat. Once a DG member reaches 110 combat, the are switched to WG and retain their DG rank, meaning if they reach Elite in DG, they are Elite in WG by default. Not negotiable. The Leader of DG is Keanu. He has no authority over WG members, only DG members. BUT he is of equal power to me. I have no authority over DG members, only WG members. We are "members" in each others' clans. Only us and the council can see both DG and WG forums. Keanu's Assistant Leader is Garrett. The WG Assistant Leaders are Rachel and Kevin. There are no vacancies. For more information, read the guides after the forum switch. I am not answering questions that you can get the answers to yourselves. http://www.runehead.com/clans/ml.php?clan=descguard ____________________________________________________ IV - Vast Structural Changes ... a new identity There have been HUGE changes made to this clan as detailed below, but first why. It is my turn at the steering wheel. I have for too long been dictated to by WG. It is a joke, how I am treated. As of now, you do not boycott my changes. You may question my decisions as I hope you will, but you will never throw insults at me and you will not boss me around. In these updates, you will be made aware to what extent I have the final say. It is now my way or the highway, as it used to be until I became a slave to WG. I give orders, not requests. Moving onto the changes:
V - Rewritten Rules ... a new boundary All members wishing to transfer forums (and I won't be offended if you simply quit) must read the new rules on the forums and then post a "Temporary Application" in the application forum, agreeing to these new rules. Changes: 1. The addition of a section saying that members' ranks, posts (and counts), roles and any other privileges can be moved around at the discretion of the leadership. 2. This is not a democratically run clan. All decisions are made by the leader and advised by the members, and majority does not rule. 3. You are responsible for your forum, IRC and Runescape accounts even when it has been used by someone else. If someone uses your account to spy on WG, you are accountable. 4. The code of honour has been revamped. We follow antiRPking strictly now and there are suspensions and even expulsions for breaking this law. 5. In the IRC and CC, at least one member HAS to acknowledge whoever joins the channel. In summary, I am taking my motherfucking control back. You can leave and there will be no hard feelings if you do. Best of luck to you. I expect things will get worse before they get better anyway. I am setting WG up for an improved community and that involves getting a member base that is aligned with my ideals. I suspect some members can't reconcile their values with mine and would be more comfortable leaving. Once these members leave, we will attract the sort of members we brought in a few years ago. ____________________________________________________ VI - Time Will Tell ... a well kept secret There is one thing yet that shall not be revealed. I will not take questions on this, but you can see the magnitude of the other updates, so expect this one to be as groundbreaking. I will not be answering any questions. I have provided enough information for you to get the rest on your own. If you want to know the full extent of the changes, you must read the guides on the new forums. There are sixteen guides in the guides forum that cover 90% of all WG's procedures. Thanks to the new statistics available on the new forums, we can calculate that between the efforts of myself, Robbiethe1st, Keanu, Kevin and Rachel, over one hundred hours have been spent preparing these forums. If we my 32 recorded hours and 5 or so unrecorded hours... and pretend I get paid my regular wage for that time, the updates would have cost WG $2127.50 AUD(2,247.46 USD, 1,389.30 GBP) Don't even think about filling them up with the negativity, spam and flaming that have infected these forums. I am really quite capable of expelling anyone in the cleansing process, from guest through to council. One final note - we have been working round the clock to prepare the new forums, but the stickies have not yet been fully typed out. A few are place markers. --------------------  | ||

Not sure if I agree with all of them, but they're interesting nonetheless. I just want to say that, if you rule (not lead) WG the way you intend to, you may have a powerful clan but it won't be as happy and community friendly as you think. Having what you say be the final decision makes things easier for you, but makes the clan more and more uneasy and ultimately unstable. Eventually, your core list won't be of loyal members that are happy to follow in your footsteps, but instead of followers who stay not to better WG but just to please you, which may or may not be what you want. In any case, I'm eager to see where WG goes from here. Like I said, things look interesting. --------------------   | ||
