Well, I just got my new laptop and im having some problems connecting my new wireless router...well its all connected and it works but if i try to download something big or use the internet for a while it just disconnects...and i have to restart pc or router every time which is getting pretty annoying now..

its a belking modem + router, ive searched the internet and other people had the same problem as me but none of their solutions worked here so i was wondering if any of u guys know if there is something i can do to fix it or if i should just get a new router

Does internet access just stop all of a sudden? Are any other computers connected to this router via a cable? If that's the case, when your laptop suddenly disconnects from the internet check one of those computers and see if it has access. If it doesn't it's most likely a router problem.

If they're still connected, then it could be a weak signal. It's possible that your laptop is saying the signal is strong, when in fact the signal is kind of shaky, but when you're connected its strong.

I have the same problem about downloading. When I'm using my wireless I can't even connect to Limewire.
