Well this topic comes up periodically, but it is my turn to post it now.

There are three things that I would like to request of you all.

1. Recruit

Right now we have a very solid base for our community. Our memberlist is growing at a steady pace and our turnouts are getting progressively better. However, we cannot just allow ourselves to get complacent. In order for WG to reach its true potential it needs to grow, and the best way for it to grow is for everyone to try and get their friends to join. It means a more active forum, a more active IRC, and a more diverse community. So please consider recruiting at least somewhat of a priority because there is honestly not a better feeling than seeing a new or old friend join WG because of you.

2. Introductions

Frankly there are not enough of us who post on Intros, myself being as guilty as anyone. If you look in there, most have roughly 10 replies, some going up to 20 but not many. The fact is that if we can pull 68 people to wars, we can have at least half that many make an effort to post on introductions. It is SO worth your time to take 10 minutes each day to browse the forum and make a personal reply to a thread and invite that person to add you on RS or MSN or get to know them. Once again it is a very fulfilling feeling to make a new friend and that is what we are all here for...is it not?

3. IRC

In #WG_lobby you all need to be greeting guests, that is what it is for. I've fotten at least one complaint saying they go in and no one says hello. It is just WG talking to other WG. It is good for the chat to be active, that is VERY important, but also know that the goal of it is to be welcoming to guests. Everyone needs to greet and get to know prospective members.
Keep those two things in mind please.
With everyone's participation WG can continue to be the stellar community it is as well as have a memberlist base to provide us the tools to have more diverse events and more success on the battlefield.

I consider myself a regular poster in introduction section. If I compare this clan to Eternal Honour, EH had about 20-30 regular poster on intros while we got rarely 10. A post in an introduction forum and just saying "hi welcome to wg" means alot if your new and joining.

I agree on the recruitment part as well, if you recruit a friend it is most likely that he knows AT LEAST 1 person in this clan from past, and by this he can get more active since he wont be afraid to ask. And as times go on he gets to know everyone else.

I'm trying to greet everyone who I see that enters the chat

I actually had just recruited my friend just the other day! I think he is going to like it.
Also I try my best to post in introductions everyday.

I try to greet most people in lobby, but I know I've been skipping on posting on intro's... Dial up hates me doing that. -.-

I'm somewhat bumping this but I just want to say, it hasn't gotten any better.
There are intros in there with 5 - 6 replies.

We have 100+ active members.
What a truly disgraceful joke guys.

If you think anyone would want to join our little elitist crew who doesn't have the time of day to say hi, then you are sadly mistaken.
