I don't know if I'll be liked or not whatever tbh. Ok so yes, I'm leaving. A build up of things caused this, not just this council election we had. I'll list things under headings, so skip to what you want to read. The Irc chat This is first off a decent chunk of why I want to leave. Like I come onto the irc at 6pm Aussie times, its all good. The aussies are like there + its all happy happy. Seriously this is one of the best times for the irc. Then later in the night george, abs, etc come on and they're greeted with open arms. Ok, then I go into the irc the next morning (around 6pm-10pm EST) and its just all constant bickering, e-drama, everything. There's a ton of fights/rants that happen around that time, and I really don't like being in the channel. As well as this, since when does a member ever venture out of his little clingy group just to 'chat'. Like seriously nobody ever pms me, just wanting a talk about stuff, or anything. Its all EST/GMT groups that hang together and talk with the same person. You know how much fail that just spells to me? It's actually not even worth coming in the irc, we hardly even congratulate members on their level ups. I've seen numerous cases where ppl have gone !gratz 88 attack or something, and no "gratz man!", "hey good job mate, thanks for training", or anything of the sort is even said to that member. Australian events Yes, george has made some in the past couple of days or something. But wars? fighting events? I see none. Aussies constantly have to wake up at 5-7am just to attend a war. At least tell us we're not going to get any wars and should just leave. The council election This may sound like a bit of a rant, but umm, I'll try to make it not sound like one. Whatever sounds like a rant at x member, wasn't intentional. Ok, the person who won council came back onto the scene like what 2/3 months ago? Where were they before that? They have missed like 6+ months of good wg drama + shit, and now just get council because he posted maybe 4/5 suggestions in the suggestion forum? Wow, 1 yr+ of activity and constant putting up with shit means nothing for every single other candidate out there wanting this position. I have seen lots of changes from those other members running, some good suggestions, and yeah sure it may not have been all in 1 hit in the last 2/3 months, but they do post them. Has the clan been blinded by a sudden overflow of suggestions? Where was he like during the start of this year? But he's ex-council, you may say. However, we've had him, like we've had stokenut, we've seen his ideas, he's already had a run at council. We already know what tactics + changes he'll implement, because he's done it before. However, somebody new to council would come with fresh ideas, fresh tactics, and all of that. This x member is kind of stale in my opinion, who refreshed himself by posting 4/5 suggestions, blinding wg members to the dedication other applicants put into this. However, then this problem comes back to the emeritus problem. Members can go emeritus, be inactive as shit, then rock up one day + get their rank back quick smart. This is exactly what so many members do. I thought emeritus were s'posed to come to wars, I haven't seen a ton of emeritus at wars for ages. Do they really deserve to get back their exact rank? Is it even fair on behalf of all the current active members? The atmosphere Kind of ties in with the irc chat, however, the atmosphere of wg is really different at times. Aussie times, the community is great, but EST/GMT times bring with it a feeling of "why am I in this chat for all this terrible atmosphere". Again, ppl only want to talk to you, when you start leaving. I haven't seen 1 instance where people come up to me going "hey lets chat". Only on my leaving post people realise its too late and that they should've done something earlier. Even then, half couldn't care and just put me down as another bad egg. Only on my leaving post do I get "Hey man whats wrong lets chat?". Why does something have to be wrong for somebody to come up to me + say "hey man hows it going". Recognition + Compliments Again, where is it? We're all training for this pro silentium and sure there's what 1 post? saying how well a member did for this training. Like even for it, an underbanner or something would be nice for the top 3 in each skill. That'd say a lot in terms of "Hey thanks mate for training, here we'll give you this for a little reward". The compliments forum. Continuously spammed by tmal with his suggestions  I see next to no compliments. How about a special shout out to winddancir for getting 100cmb? We all know how much she hates training. Is there no love in wg anymore? A few shout-outs to special members I cannot leave without giving shout-outs to special members. Jayson (Jadi): Yeah, I love you man you're really friendly and just fun to be around. I keep you on my friends list k  . You think alike me, like you always post what I'm thinking. We must have some uber cool connection
That post is exactly what I'm thinking. Which is why I love you so much. Evil+Anatcrafter:I always looked up to you anat, like the 138, p mod with maxed melee + tons of 99's. I still do look up to you as a kind of big brother really. Evil, you've come a long way here in wg, I'd like to see you keep it up and keep going. Moose:You always made the irc fun, like all your funny comments and pictures that you made up, it always made me laugh. I join tgc one day k Abs:You sexy best, I think you are a good leader, I would always come back under your lead. Rob:You are an excellent raid leader, I think highly of you. Don't go off to df again k? Stay in wg and keep leading us to victory. I have to post this, last time I'd get to L  Deezee:Excellent warlord, you're so patient in wars, you have a really calming voice that just makes everything seem like its all going to be alright. Winddancir:I know you took a lot of shit of members asking you to train, however you meet the reqs now and I'm ever so happy for you. Go get that 99 herblore k? Tezza:I never really got to know you, but you're aussie. You're like way oldskool, but its a shame I never really bonded with you as of yet. You're probably one person I would've liked to know more. Back to Own:I always liked when you discussed raid things, you always had that "pker" thing about you. Even your rsn fits in . Yeah we were the same level for a bit too, I kinda saw you as a brother.Mugger84: I respect you a lot, for a few reasons, firstly that you're already a leader of a pc clan. I'm glad you brought your leadership skills to wg as a raid leader. Stokenut: We had our disagreements/fights, but it wasn't like I totally hated you. Just some things you do I disagree with, but hey everybody is different. Valdy: I liked you, I see you as a leader. We'll still talk. George: I do have respect that you're still plodding on. I'd like to see you stay in wg, if not go higher + move up the ranks. You have dedication. Kiwi: If nothing else, stay off this post. Its not that I hate you or anything, but you try to say what I'm thinking. Just doesn't work, half of what you say is wrong. Jenny: I hardly talked to you, but I see you as that warmth in wg. Please, spread your warmth around wg, uplift it, make it into something good. When you were council before, your love in wg was too focused amongst members, only a certain few went under your wing. But you are a nice person, just open up to everyone. I hardly talked to you, bar a few times. I just picture you as a warm, loving person though. Tmal: Lol what a prick.  Basically shunned me + gen for applying for council, questioning us. What a hide you have to do that, make us doubt ourselves and then apply for council yourself, after only coming back for 2/3 months. I think i actually like dark blade over you, and that's saying a lot. I really couldn't care if you're rsc mod or not, your power doesn't make me cower in fear. I know I failed as a raid leader but since I stepped down, nothing has been done about this timezone bias. We should seriously start warning Aussies who want to join that they would have to sacrifice a lot of sleep if they wanted to participate in any wars at all. I don't think you should leave, You should be stood up and counted. Tmal as you said is not the only one who has many suggestions. You know my view on the whole Council elections, We may have not spoken but we have been altaring together, I speak to you when i can or when your not busy. Being GMT and you being Aussie is difficult sometimes because i wake up as you go to bed. I am not gonna dictate to you what you should or should not do, but whether you leave or stay i really do wish you there best. Every idea you have come up with i have agreed, You have been a VERY active member of the Wilderness Guardians and you should not be thrown away like rubbish. What you speak is truth to some degree and i thank you for putting across your views. Hopefully now the council can start to pick up and do some work towards it's members, IRC and the Atmosphere. I don't think that is the right decision for you. Obviously what you raised about wars is also true, they are mostly at awkward times for Aussies. However, when you think about it, our now current Raid Leaders are UK, Est, and PST (I think) meaning that we haven't been focusing on Aussie-Friendly wars which imo we need to start doing. It is in fact in the process of being addressed. However, as you're an Aussie and an Ex-Raid Leader, you have experience and could have possibly tried to step up? As far as I'm concerned, you're leaving for issues that are in the process of being addressed by WG's Staff. Imo you should reconsider this, and give things time to settle. The harsh reality of the situation right now is that most of the points you've started are true. The atmosphere in WG is really different right now and I'm not sure where the old one has gone. Like you've said I see less congratulations when people get levels, less greetings when people join, and things like that. It is really a shame but we're going to work on bringing that back to WG, how it should be. I've always had a lot of sympathy for people like you, the Australians or those who live in bad timezones for most of our wars who make the effort week in and week out to come up for them. I don't know if you'd like what I'm saying is only words, but it's true. I've always thought that we've needed to get wars for you all, but I've failed you. I'm so sorry for that. I really wish you well in the future Maths, and really hate to see you leaving. Would be awesome to see you back with us again in the future  -------------------- Now back to the good part! | ||

But ever since Ive been in WG Ive always seen you there in the crowd etc. I know Im the same thing to you and I love how you said people only talk to you when your leaving (funny how I'm doing it now). You pointed out probably 80 percent of WG's flaws and how everyone knows them is doing nothing about it. The election was plain in fact how everyone knew it was going to turn out. Its like school elections no one votes for the person that can actually change the clan or actually do something about it again they vote for the person they personally like or in this case whos already done it before. About the time zones thats a case for every clan theres no real way to fix it other then makin the clan a requirment for one time zone or just find members that stay up 24/7 but you are right its just one big clique thing when it comes to time zones. The irc chat is the same thing its been since 2 years ago flames drama and inactivity. Its only in wg and small clans that ive seen this. Even when i was spying in a nh clan they were freindly.
