After reading through School's post i came across Jadi's post about Clan meeting's

QUOTE (jadi_simondz @ July 10, 2008 02:07 am)
i think we should have like an in game meeting maybe once a week or a fortnight

it helps people get together, talk, have some fun

and people can be told about upcomming events/wars, past wars/events, whats going on inner clan

This was a hit in my old clan, We had a Monthly meeting at our clan leaders house to discuss what we were going to do for that month. This was done so that the clan could socialise with each other while in a surrounding that we all know.

I know a few people think this is a good idea and myself and no doubt this people would like to see this implimented, all though there is a catch. The council will host the meetings, but.. the house used should not be a member of councils house but Event Council and below... This ensures that other members can get involved with the clan by putting their house forward.

So far i have these candidates for the house to use:

- Gorgemaster
- Arsenalfan32
- Anatcrafter
- Stokenut
- Maddness990 (If he comes back from Inactivity)
- Mugger84
- Sithofwookie
- dilz621

If you wish for your name to be added then post, on this topic at the bottom of your post.

What do you guys think?

As i said, if this is implimented then it will get normal members and Event leaders + Raider leaders the chance to get more involved with the clan, which in the long run builds up the community and disbands most groups because of the socialising aspect.

Yeah it's a lovely idea, but if people aren't really doing very much you can get quit bored.

Good luck smile.gif

Exactly, thats why hosting clan meetings in other members houses gets us to socialise and have fun. As Jadi stated.

I used to have that when I lead my clan in RSC, every week we had a head quarter where we all gathered up and talked and talked about stuff.
This was big back in RSC , many clans did it as well.

Before in my previous clan we also had clan meetings that we tried to do every month. At that meeting we discussed our performance during that month and what was coming up in the future. Afterwords everyone would just go hang out or have fun in a combat ring. Maybe we can do something like that.

That is exactly what i'm suggesting. neko2.gif

What people need to remember is people have put themselves into groups, in having meetings and socialising, those groups are abolished and we become one big group. Most people have plenty of things in their house whether it's a throne room, Altar, Games room and a Combat room.

Clan meetings a great for monthly updates about the clan as a whole and as people have pointed out, speaking about upcomming wars, past wars, skills and tactics, members that have been working hard to achieve certain levels and MoM.

We actually used to do these at Lordy's house in the past, I'm unsure what ever happened to them though. We can definatly try to get one of these in the near future, just have to hope that the turn-out is good and enough people are interested.

Not a bad idea, glad you see my house as worthy of use. Some hitches that I will tell you later but we can see how things go.

I would love to volunteer my house for this.
It's not the most extravagant thing, but it will do.

As i said in my post, I don't think Council should have their house put forward, this is because they already do alot for this clan. In letting members below council put forward their house it enables them to get more involved with the clan instead of sitting back and doing what we are told as such, the only time we really socialise or do things for the clan is during wars or events. This makes it so as i said normal members can contribute towards the clan.

I think this would be a great idea for like 1st of the month type things. Preferably trying to make it at a tiemzone which is most accessible to all.

I'd be happy to have my name added to the possible hosts list, my house isn't bad tbh, as many people who have altered there should know ohmy.gif biggrin.gif

My house is in a square shape with 4 gardens in the middle which make it fitting for a meeting like situation. That's why I volunteered it. However anyone hosting it would be great.

I think one of the main thing that made Gene's house nice for the Clan Meetings was that the room it was hosted in was secluded from any other in the house.

There were only two sides of benches and then the Thrones.
I liked that because there was not much to mess around with while in that room, though the fights for a spot to sit were nice hash.png

Also, some of these were over Teamspeak, some using Rs Chat.
The way we did it using Rs Chat was that if you wanted to speak you would stand up off the bench, or out form against the wall.

All though i stated that Council should be able to do this, it does not stop raid leaders or event council from doing it as they do not have as much of a large foot hold within the clan.

yea, but as i said, i think we should do multiple of these, and using what mugger said, on the 1st of every month, but like 2 or 3, preferably 3 so nobody has to go at a time not suited to them, and we all go into a house and talk.
