Alright guys, I don't know if you've seen the new application process, but we are scrapping some of our more vague ways of getting in and simply requiring others to have 2 referrals.

There isn't a limit on who can refer, however I NEED you all to understand this.

By referring someone you are putting your reputation and accountability on the line for that individual. You are saying:

"I know him/her and from what I've seen, I'm willing to put my reputation, rank, and privileges on the line and say that this member will fit into WG"

Now don't get me wrong, I know some turn into bad eggs.
However, we want you guys to be the "first line of defense" against those.

So think very very carefully before you choose to refer.
The idea is to make it harder to get into WG. Not to just allow someone to say "add me n refer pl0x" and to get their wishes. Do whatever it takes to know that they will be a good fit here before you sign your name to their app.

Also know that if the person goes inactive or turns out bad, their referrals will probably be the first 2 people we go to in order to try and fix the problem.

All in all there is more responsibility in your hands but also more freedom.

If you have questions let me know.

Your rank? You mean if we get someone to atleast put effort into WG and then they don't fit in we loose our rank?

And anyway, glad were finaly starting to toughen up on application process.

Mickey obviously you cannot know everything about the person.
The point is that you need to refer someone only if you feel strong enough about them joining that you would put your rank on the line for it.

If you care a lot about your rank and don't want WG to grow or whatever....then don't refer, it's that simple.
However if you get someone who is legitimately your friend and you know will be great here, then you need to decide if they are worth the risk.

recruiting and referrals are different. So I should not recruit anymore?

You only want people I can refer now? I am not sure what you want.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

By all means recruit, but only people who you trust enough to refer.
Don't just ask anybody to join, perhaps befriend them first and get to know if they would be a good member of the community.
