Over the past few months WG has rolled downhill, a place where people did not and still do not want to be. This is the history of all bad things and the large reason on why i will be hanging my Wilderness Guardians days in a trophy cabinet, where they belong. 1. When i rejoined the Wilderness Guardians, yes i have left and come back plenty of times, all because i missed my friends and WG's community, i was flamed for rejoining and many members did not want me here. From then i have been flamed countless times and only once has this been sorted which was recently. I remember some time ago i was told to go die plenty of times. This member was suspended by a now ex-council member, then a few hours later he was unbanned? I was asked for evidence, and i supplied it. Yet nothing was done. I was then suspended not because i held a 99 attack party over another event but because of my attitude. 2. Power Abuse: This has been a very dangerous aspect of the Wilderness Guardians, it was done when it could be and members hated it. It still occurs at some ocassions and is not funny. You may think it is, but your wrong. 3. Warning levels: These things are being thrown around like sweets, for some members it's "let's see how many warns i can get". I have been the back end of a warning level because i told a ranked member that i would not read their PM on forums, I was then warned, the reason being "It was a personal attack towards myself". Yet again i am currently on 20% warn because i flamed parth back, I took it for a year, i wasn't gonna let him win. This resulted in his ban and my warn. 4. People's Attitude: I have posted plenty of times about this, yet nothing was said or done about it, we have members speaking down to council/raid/event leaders, and vice versa. People's attitudes got the Wilderness Guardians into this mess and i hope in the future you will see this and do something about it. 5. The Wilderness Guardians Community: The Wilderness Guardians had such an outstanding community, yet where's it gone to? The answer is.... It's laying face down in the mud at the bottom of a well. I posted a topic called "Equivalent Exchange". I got plenty of replies one saying:
The above quote sounds as if this member couldn't really care, and had no idea what i was talking about. Some other members said "I cant be f****ed to read it". Great attitude guys. The topic can be found here: http://www.wildernessguardians.com/forum/i...?showtopic=4520 I received some promising replies, from people who care, The council have been doing there best to bring back the Wilderness Guardians, and i thank them for this, But one thing must be said.... You need to think less about God Wars and money making, and think about how you can get this clan back up. The Wilderness Guardians used to be a democracy, people voiced their opinions. Unlike now they are shunned for what they believe in, what they think. WG has become a republic. Thinking back and tieing this in... The wilderness guardians have gone through something like what happens in Star Wars 1 - 3. First it is a democracy, people voted, people cared about one anothers opinions but over time it became less and less democratic, now it has turned into a galatic empire, where one person has to agree for something to be done. With rebels wanting to return the Wilderness Guardians back to the way it was. For this it is time i leave, many people may thank god im leaving but when it's your time you will understand why i left. I wish you all a very good luck in the future of the Wilderness Guardians. Shout outs: Gorgemaster - George, you are my closest friend in the Wilderness Guardians, we have known each other since Betrayed Pheonix, through to the Unprovocked, to here. I wish you the best in WG. You are one of the few members i know will try their hardest to achieve those standards and respect that the Wilderness Guardians need and deserve. Rachellove9 - Rachel, you have been here for me for so long and i've been there for you. Please remember that because i am leaving does not mean you have a place in my heart. Starzhine - Kirsty, you are the most kind and conciderate person i know, i will always keep you added for you are like family to me. A person i can look to if i need help, or someone to fish with me. Maddness990 - Mickey, Over the past year we have grown to know each other as true friends, You deserve everything good within the Wilderness Guardians and i hope one day you get the respect you deserve from it's members. Dorcha3377 - Jenny, i know we have had our difference, and i know we rarely speak now but you will always be a friend of mine, i hope you sort everything out and i know that in time your actions towards WG will reflect on that aspect of which you are only trying to help the Wilderness Guardians flourish. To all those that i have missed, i am sorry. You will all have a place in my heart, except those who have flamed me. Goodbye and Goodluck WG. I am surprised by this, but then when I really thought about it, it is really understandable. Your ideas have been so great, and I have read every one of your threads, regardless of posting on them. I enjoyed your attitude every time that you were in IRC, TeamSpeak, on the forums, or at an event. You are a great person, and I hope you continue that. I would post a long insightful post why I think most of your points are wrong, but I don't see the point. What I will say; how people reply to topics like your earlier one are not a true assessment of how much people care for WG. I believe dedication and care is shown within the activity, the spirit and the length of the stay. Not saying you have got us into this, nothing like the sort, but I believe, people putting us down saying our community is bad are contributing to the downfall rather than the uprising. I know in your heart you want to help WG, but I think we have to let staff do their work, do what we can; attend events, raise-the-spirit kind of suggestions and other stuff of the sort. Espeically the power abuse. Its getting out of hand. Especially when you go to the council about an issue, and all you get is, 'yea, well so? What am I ment to do about it?' Your council. Your in power, Thats what your there for! Im getting so angry, about people who are thinking that because they are slightly above someone else, they are now god. Community? What community? The amount of times, I have joined IRC and noone has said hello, is ridiculus. I have seen people gain levels, say !grats, and Im the only person that says well done, keep going! Its becoming stupid. I wish you wouldn't leave, but I guess enough is enough. You may try and try to improve WG and if you keep getting knocked down, it may not be worth your time. I just cleaned this up, as it was getting really close to being locked. If you want to keep a post short and sweet, that's your choice. Please keep the negativity down. And just because people choose to write only a short good bye, or choose not to try to talk some one out of it, doesn't always mean they are being rude. A lot of the time, I don't post because I don't have something long or meaningful to add. If it wasn't for every one getting irritated about a short response, I probably wouldn't have posted.
