Vacation has shown me alot of things. While im here i dont go on rs for more than like 20 minutes without getting bored. I come on forums and all i see is topics with flamming and kid shit. Also I've been getting bitched at by my family back home for not "visiting them enough" and its pissing me off.

Im entering my senior year and I feel i've wasted alot of time on this game. Its done nothing but hold me back and destroy what social life i've had. and now i've decided im done. Once i get back home i'll be cancelling my membership and i wont be on rs except for maybe wars and stuff like that. Add me to emeritus if you feel I deserve it.

Tbh i cant do shout outs because if i did i would be leaving many people unsaid considering most people in wg are good friends of mine.

I've had alot of fun with WG and you all are the reason I havent quit sooner. Since I joined i was always well liked from what i could tell. Overall there are alot of hilarious and mature people here. I would never want to join another clan.

my advice to my closest of friends, Saad, Vince, Glenn, etc. etc. is that you guys give up this game soon too. it really fucks up things in the long run. Im gonna have to reconnect with alot of people who before this game i was so close to. My hours on this could have been turned into hours on a job and i would easily be able to afford a nice car and stuff. Instead i sat on my ass for three years. my whole life was school, rs, sleep, repeat. its fucking pathetic now that i think back on it all.

Keep in touch my good friends,
Good Bye shitty lifestyle,
and Kiss my ass Runescape, you dirty whore, you.

It is sad to see you go Pyro, though i am leaving myself this does not conflict with any intrests. You had high standards for WG, Standards which were over looked. I wish you the very best in real life pyro. Keep me added <3 I shall add you on AIM tomorrow as im now off to bed smile.gif <3

I almost realized the same thing over my vacation, but in a slightly different way. I won't be quitting RS altogether, but I can see how it destroys you. I didn't have much of a social life to begin with (I was 10 years old when I started playing) but I think that if I had never played I would probably be better off. Anyways I wish you good luck in real life. It is more important than Runescape. Although some people can play this game and keep a social life at the same time, others cannot. I'm going to try to keep up with both, but I just might end up joining you if I can't.

you are one of few people i do support quitting WG/rs. Quitting rs is one of the biggest/best achievements a rs player can get smile.gif

i am really happy seeing you getting your social life back on track.

i wish you all the best and even more in your life.

Good to hear Pyro, and I think you are making an excellent choice. Just be careful though, if you know you are the kind of person who gets easily addicted to games, make sure not to go from a bad addiction to one that is worse (for example WoW).

Personally I think I might have the kind of personality where I could get easily addicted to a game, and so I treat RS as a kind of inoculation against the very highly addictive MMORPGs such as WoW. I have gotten fairly good at not letting RS get in the way of real life, and because I spend time on the computer on WG and RS I am not tempted to try other MMORPGs. I mainly try to stick to this principle: There is no point in RS other than to have fun. There are alot of potential goals in RS, and the game is designed to make you feel like you are actually accomplishing something, but if you have to realize that it is almost always not worth the time. Activities such as getting 99 in a skill, saving up for a rare item, or even training excessively to help you clan, are all activities I would consider a waste of time. Really, it is the intangible things in the game that have worth, which is why I do not consider activities such as going to wars, using RS to relax in extra free time, and random activities with RS friends as a waste of time.

I personally have alot of good memories from RS...the time was well spent, and I would not trade them for all the GP in the game. However when it comes to RS goals, items, levels, and GP, you have to ask yourself, are these pixels going to really matter to me a few years from now?

I agree with you, since I have gone emeritus I have spent so much happy time with my family.
I hope you enjoy your life more now, and it was worth one thing, all the hours you spent here.
We got to know you, thank you for everything.

I agree with everything he said all online games do is destroy you...Im not trying to pull anyone away form Wg...
But once I finnaly relized it I got rid of both my runescape and WoW accts so I had nothing to come back to I didnt want to make the same mistake again...
The only people i talked to where people I will probaly never see IRL sure I had a GF for a while and i had some friends but we never did anything...
Its alright to play games to a certan extent but when you play until you cant keep your eyes open anylonger then wake up eat...and get back to playing then you need to stop...
What will you ever get from it?
I cut off all my RL friends I quit palying sports...Now I wished I didnt...
Since I quit playing all toughter I got a job i can drive...ive been talking to this chick for about two weeks, we do stuff like every night i got hook ups for what ever i need...I got good friends...
And Gl with your real life Pyro I hope you have as much fun as I do now that I quit

There is nothing any worse about WoW than there is with Runscape except its...Fun?

But hes right about the bad addiction...like drugs...
I took on weed when i stoped playing games...my friends where doing it i could get it free when i wanted it...Its not really bad but still...try to stay away form it if you do happen to do it try not to do it very much and defently dont drive...it fucks with you good

Ive been clean for 11 days btw lol
And im not saying im not gona do it again its fun sure...espeicaly when you do it with friends you can have fun with just be carefull...

but alas, we are two different people. And I wish you the best of luck in life and hopefully you'll come back every now and then.

You're a close friend of mine and you always will be. <3

I'll miss ya bro.

Ahh Christian, i can't say that I'm shocked. You made the decision to quit some time ago, and i really understand what you mean now by this post. You were an awesome mentee, I'll give you that. And let alone an amazing RS player. You have a great personality, im sure whatever you left behind in real life, you can easily grasp back.

I'll really miss you man, these couple weeks you've been away on vacation... Not the same. Take care man, enjoy Senior Year. And get into a good college, and make a good life. Without runescape, you have a lot of time on your hands, use it well bro.

Take care, and try and keep in contact man.

Good luck mate. I'll probably add you on myspace. I'm not going to whine to you to stay. I think its noble you're taking back control of your life. Sometimes I feel the same way, but this game truly is an addiction, and I can't force myself to just walk away.

I see the game like you do sometimes Pyro. Balance is what I try and get at but I might quit at the beginning of the school year depending on how much extra time I have on my hands. I won't be giving up my social life.

I'm gonna miss you bud you were a good member and a good guy. Good luck in real life man.
