Was a thoroughly worthwhile event. I recieved mainly posative feedback from members, showing that yes P2P warring is an art people want to get interested in. I think I covered all of the basics and essentials for when fighting P2P while as a clan. If you were unable to make it, Vephysaur, using his initiative (an important thing in P2P Warring) recorded the entire lesson part of the event. I will paste the link when I get it, and i advise those of you who missed the event to watch it, and come back to me with any questions you may have once you have done so.

EDIT: Video found here.

After the lesson, as a second event, a P2P Intra-Clan war was held. Myself and T Dwag led each team, T Dwag starting off defending in the first war. They defended bravely but in the end, Mugger84 the mighty obviously came out on top tongue.gif But it was a very well fought war.

The second round wasn't so great for T Dwags team, though in my opinion this was no fault of his own. Unfortunately, over some confusion, nirvanas (their mage) came over to my team when my team had two less players. This meant that i had all of the magers, and so didnt have to start out too spread out. Also, I recieved feedback that T Dwag's calls weren't listened to very well. Tbh, towards the begining, neither were mine. I did at one point call for an *urgent* fi and it took 60 seconds for the last two to fi tongue.gif But i can see how they got confused, and im sure it wont happen again biggrin.gif tongue.gif

Anyway yes, the Pink team came off victorious for the second round as well biggrin.gif One attendance point is given for each event.

What is it?
P2P War Training

Date
Sunday 17th August 2008

Time
11pm GMT (10:30pm GMT Mass)
6pm EST (5:30pm EST Mass)

Meeting place
World 27, BH Bank

Information

Right guys, as we need much more practice as far as P2P warring is concerned, and as we have recently been declared on for P2P RAW Rankings, I am going to be hosting A LOT more P2P War Trainings in the upcoming weeks. You will be learning how to tank in P2P, how to pile in P2P, how to mage in P2P, how to snipe in P2P, how to KO in p2p. A lot of things, I know, but you will be learning them all, so long as you COME TO THESE PRACTICES.

Sundays exercise will involve a P2P Intra-Clan War led by myself and another Raid Leader. The purpose will be to teach you HOW TO P2P WAR. That means we will be trying to 'spoon feed' you instructions. What to do when, why to do it, how to be the tanker etc. I WANT 3 MAGERS ON EACH TEAM. That means when we mass, make sure you have available mage gear if you are thinking about maging. I will pick who mages at the time.

I will now post a few possible gears to take (For those who are NOT maging (most of you)).

As you can see, these show only Range & Melee hybrids. THAT IS FOR A REASON. You are USELESS if you are only melee... if you're frozen, you dont contribute ANYTHING.

Here's a bit of information I advise all of you read and LEARN:

Eating tricks
Pizzas:
Eating the first bite of a pizza has low delay. You can eat the first bite of a pizza and a better healing food in on turn (better then eating just a shark when you need to heal alot). Second bites take long to eat.

In p2ps, we use pineapple pizza, which heal 22.

To heal alot of health quickly, you would eat like this: 1st bite, 1st bite (another pizza), 1st bite (different pizza), tuna potato.. This would heal you 55 hp in roughly one turn. (If you can click fast enough)

You would eat the 2nd bite when you're high health, and safe from being koed.

Brews
Potions have a strange property. When you drink them, it takes the same time as a regular piece of food. However, when you click a potion while eating a tuna potato (YOU MUST EAT THE POTATO FIRST), you'll do both in one turn. If you tried doing a potion and then a potato first, it would take 2 turns

Using tuna potatos and brews: Shark+brew = 36 hp in one turn (very easy to pull off)

Combining the two

First pizza bites have low delay. 2nd bites and tuna potatos eat at regular time. You can drink a brew immediately after eating a regular piece of food.

Example: 1st bite, 1st bite (another pizza), tuna potato, brew. This would heal you ~60 hp in one turn, depending on your hp level.

These eating skills are CRITICAL to tanking. Without these, you have no chance of tanking VH eating just sharks.

Please do your best to be there. Trial Guardians and Trial Raid Leaders are strongly advised to attend.

Have a nice weekend wink.gif

Good event, Mugger really went deep into the practical applications of p2p strategy. I was sorry that I had to leave 30 minutes into it.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”
