Hybriding is very very very very important. The more of us we have hybriding, the better we do. Here's a pretty basic guide for those who don't know. If you have never hybrided before, don't feel like you are being forced to. It's not an easy thing to do.

Hybrid if your magic level is over 70. Anything else is too low and your binds won't hit very often.

Gear:

- You can swap leather vambraces for leather gloves
- You can have more runes than in the picture
- The amount of runes in the picture is the minimum
- Tanking staff is optional

You don't have to return as a hybrid every single time, as long as you hybrid at least once during this fight I'm happy. The more hybriding, the better.

Any questions post here.

If you do have bright pant legs tho you might want to wear blue robe bottoms, however. You'd be way easier to spot if you're not the color of rune at all.

So if you go as a hybrid, at what times should you have armor on? I know that if you're getting piled, you put the Rune stuff on, and I'm guessing when it's towards the end and we've got a significant advantage we can keep the hybrid gear on, but what about in-between? Would you keep hybrid gear on if you're on the main pile so your binds land?

I'm asking because I'm 82 Mage, and seeing as how 70 is the minimum, I'll probably end up as a hybrid a few times.

Okay if your going hybrid then u'll probably be the first to be targeted. I know how to hybrid.

So the steps u need to know to not get spotted and piled.

1. Attack a person getting piled
2. bind the person ur attacking so they dont see u out in the open binding.
3. repeat.

I was hybrid on many f2p raids and these steps never got be piled only at the end when we r losing.

Keep it off, you need robes for accuracy. The key is staying hidden

I believe bringing a robe bottom is useful in the sense that you dont have to toggle between the Inventory & Gear screens to take off your rune legs and wear robes etc. - Saves the hassle.

Since we're on this topic, may I also suggest that a handful of us, depending on the ops that we pull, to snipe during the pkri.

When done properly, we can:

1. Slow down their binding rates when they are forced to put rune on.
2. Chances of getting individuals to split up from their main pile.
3. Chances of getting their team disorganized on which of us to pile.
4. More chances of KO-ing them if they're not careful. tongue.gif

I'll definitely want to do this and it'll be good if we can get a few more to do it too, without compromising on our binding strength. The only risk for snipers is that you're more likely to get piled more frequently and lose more rune etc. but this can be avoided if you pick your targets well wink.gif

Thought i responded to this topic, oh well.

As some people said, i think its a good idea to bring leather chaps and wooden shield, because it gives more def than robes, provides a faster switch, and doesn't stand out too much. Another thing with hybriding is that you should have your rune on when too close to enemy pile, and defiantly when your standing alone. I'll post more deatails later.

It's not like if you hybrid with a bit of gear variation than this I will get mad, it's that fact that you are hybriding that's important. This is just a basic example, I'm fine if you wear a wooden shield/leather chaps.
