      IRC Nickname: Rage|Mike Group: Clan Friend Posts: 1948 Member No.: 1238 Joined: July 29, 2008 Total Events Attended: 132    | Hey guys, Atm lots of old topics are getting auto bumped by the forums, this makes the forums dis-organized and its hard to keep track of recent posts. Deleting them would be unwise as the information in these topics would be lost, but what about a clan members archive? Basically, all outdated topics are placed in that board. Some problems would arise if that happens, such as private rank info (For example, the council) would be leaked, so we could divide that board into sub forums for each security level, so level 1 can only see level 1 outdated topics, and not any outdated topics of any higher levels. What is an outdated topic? Depends on the forum, guides are never outdated because they're important, suggestions/clan related issues should be about 1 month, event recaps are never outdated, announcements are never outdated, everything else is outdated when about 1 month passes. I believe a script is possible for this, that can move the topics automatically if one month passes since the last action/post. Result? If this is put into action, then if we look into the forums, they should look alot neater and we'd be able to post on the correct topics, without bumping old ones. Anyway we have a trash can in lvl 3 which serves the purpose of essentially storing old topics that may still be needed by staff in the future. Unfortunately this is still happening over the forums in the App topic and the Achievements topic now and again, its settled down though.
