The second problem is that it looks a little ugly. I will be paying $5 extra to make the lines go further out to the edges, by ordering a bigger film to print. That's no big deal. Plain white though, the WG wouldn't stand out as well. If you were to do plain white... You'd almost have to alter it to have a black border around the WG. Meaning spots just without color. But I see that you have used a Pantone Grey, which pantone itself is a special colour. Not sure about T-shirt printing but I think it should work in the same principle as offset printing on paper or newsprints. Possibly that's why it has a 2 film base. Maybe try considering going for gradient black, possible? That means a decreased % of black but its surely one colour, not a special colour. Meet halfway or something. Although, pantone colours are actually more subtle and smooth but at least if its possible, it seemed better than leaving it all white, possibly the least ideal if you do have options.
