I'm looking to see why we don't have more EST events. There are 2 events today that I can't make because I'm either working or it's in the wee hours of the morning.

How can I make events when the times don't coincide with what I have going on irl?

You see, I have work, family time (chores), sports and other things that kind of hinder my ability to make events.

Any suggestions?

Most of our events are EST/GMT friendly

The number of events are probably going to decline soon with school starting for many

Usually, the est/gmt events range from 3-8pm est, with some variations

We DO have EST Events often. They're usually around 4/5 EST. Is that time not okay for you? O_o

Some days it's good and some days it's not Vince. It all depends on my work schedule, my sporting events, the KIDS sporting events, what my daughter has going on (now that she's started pre school....damn, I'm getting old), what my son (who is now in college) has going on. There are alot of factors that can prohibit me or hinder me from being at many events.

Usually, more times than not, I'm available early to mid evenings. The only days thusfar where I'm not, is Wednesday and Friday nights.

That's about all I can say at this point.

We need people to suggest times. I think most of the events are around 10pm gmt and 5pm EST, possibly an hour early. There are EST-specific events though.

Sounds like you've got a busy time rick, but I'm sure if events keep getting placed at different times, they're bound to suit everyone eventually.

Bear in mind 'evening' can mean a number of times. For some it starts at 4, others say 6.30. For some evening ends at 9, and for others its evening till 11.

5:00 PM EST is way too early for me. I'm just getting home from work and unwinding.

I'm thinking about maybe 7-9 PM EST.

Most weekends work for me unless I get called in to the office...like today.

What the Event Coordinators have to realize is that we're not ALL in school. wink.gif

Congratulations on the Royal Marines, Lee. I'm sure you're going to be very busy in the months to come.

So I guess my original question stands: What do those of us that have things like this going on irl have to do to make events? Surely you don't intend on us missing real life things for events do you? I know you're not insinuating that we come at times that we MAY be home but are too tired to do anything because of the day.

I don't know...

I'm EST and we have a lot of EST events but they probably fall on a bad time for you when your working or w/e.

Makes it hard to justify to the wife though.

"Yeah honey, I have over 20M in my bank account on RS. We have about 2K in OUR bank account. I think to alleviate some pressures, I'm going to quit my job. We can get by for a long time on 20M, can't we?"

Yeah, I don't think she'd go for that. I'll give it a shot though. tongue.gif

Lmao ^

But I personally can't make any events 6PM EST or later 90% of the time but we do have American skill leaders so I would suggest confronting them about events which are later than 6PM EST.

Exacktly, but Event Coordinators make events so as many people as possible can attend.
If someone can't attend because he/she is busy at the time then I suggest you to make the events smile.gif

There's nothing more annoying than hosting an event where you get 2 people attending.
It doesn't piss me off anymore because I've got used to it, but when people host their first event ever and they got a bad attendance it angers me.

What times would work for you Rick?
I'm sure we can work something out.
