There is a quote from Colin Powell that made me think of the clan:

"Don't squander the blood, sweat, and tears of those who paved the way for you. The greatest danger is complacency."

What this quote reminded me of was His Lordship and our old schoolers. It is not respectful to our founding clan mates to make fun of them, treat them badly or forget about them. They are the ones that "paved the way" for us to have this great clan we enjoy. They are the people who devoted their time and lives for the clan and we don't want that all to go to waste. Complacency "is the greatest danger," because if no one ever cared we wouldn't have our clan. It is good that people like, His Lordship still care. Otherwise, we may still not have our community.

I just want to say thanks to all the old schoolers who did such a great job paving the way for the clan. It is just nice to be able to say "hey I appreciate what you did."

(just a note on the man quoted)
For anyone who doesn't know Colin Powell, he is one of my favorite leaders of all time. He was a four star General with over 35 years in the service. He was the first Africian American to be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He really is respected and honored by the Americans in our history.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

I definitely agree good post rachel i have seen the changes here over the times and if we did not have great leaders to make the right decisions then WG may not have been here today.

I like his first name. hash.png

Lol, but seriously, Rachel is right. Lordy and the rest of the old-schoolers are what made this clan great in the first place (me included LOL) hash.png

I've been humbled by this post. The only words that come to mind right now are: You're welcome and you're probably one of the greatest people I've ever met. You are so grounded and have your feet planted firmly. It wouldn't surprise me none if you were to receive a higher place in this clan other than Guardian. You have the mentality, you have the knowledge, you have the compassion, you have the desire, you have my support. What else could they be looking for? smile.gif

Thank you for the confidence booster for us old schoolers. It's certainly a nice change of scenery.

You're the best Rachel. <3
