There is no limit on the amount of people that can apply to be a Sniper, however obviously at wars, the highest level'd snipers will be chosen (Note: At wars, only a few snipers are chosen, and usually the highest combat are taken). For ease, the Sniper Unit list will be arranged by combat level, for ease of staff when selecting snipers at wars.

Q&A

I. (Q) Why is this topic in the security forums, rather than the War Forum or General Matters?

(A) Because I'd rather it be slightly secretive from the entire clan world so would rather keep it to members who WG have gotten to know (i.e. graduated).

II. (Q) How do I prove I can snipe if I'm not sniping at wars because not on this list?

(A) At some training sessions from now on, there will be a separate sniping exercise. However, do make sure you note, that if you have proved you can snipe to a Raid Leader/Council beforehand, they will likely validate your application.

III. (Q) I'm a Raid Leader/Council. How should I validate applications?

(A) Well, If a person's application is all good, and you know from personal experience that they can snipe, add them to the above list (ordered by combat level). Then quote their application and post Accepted or Validated etc. However, if you don't know if they have the experience or not, and they have named you as the person who is going to validate them, post that you are not validating them, and advise them to come to a training session . If they have not named you, don't post.

IV. (Q) Why is this a Sticky?

(A) Because it's an ongoing Unit, and needs to be actively seen.

V. (Q) Do the Sniper Unit have any powers over anyone else in the clan?

(A) DEFINITELY not. In fact, if anyone does use the fact they're a sniper for WG as some sort of sign of power, they will likely be removed from sniping... This list isn't to help YOU, it's to help the fall in leaders when choosing snipers.

VI. (Q) Do the Sniper Unit have separate IRC/TS Channels for wars?

(A) Yes and No. The Sniper Unit will indeed be in a separate TS channel with one of the fall in leaders, but as for IRC, they will remain in the same channel as everybody else. The reason they are on a separate TS channel is so that they can work together efficiently, however they remain in the main IRC channel in case the primary fall in leader of the war tells them (or some of them) to return to the main pile.

Oh please, you were one of our prime snipers before you went off to camp if I remember correctly

Either way you cant fail, but we should have some snipers available to choose from war to war if some arent there

Tanking has nothing to do with sniping, besides the fact you'll get piled quicker (even though you will eventually anyway).

Higher combat means you'll hit higher and more often when it counts.

the point of a sniper is to rape hybrids....99str and att are more useful than 99 def. If your an experienced sniper you won't even give them a chance to pile you unless they focus only on you.
