If you use SwiftKit then you have access to a tool called the Events Hub. The Events Hub lists any events which you import into it and gives you reminders when an Event is due to begin.

When an event host posts an Events Hub link at the bottom of a topic this is how you import it into SwiftKit.

Step 1:
Copy the link provided at the bottom of an event topic where a host has provided one.

Step 2:
In SwiftKit open up the Events Hub utility by clicking the Utilities tab > Events Hub.

Step 3:
When the Events Hub appears click the 'User Events' tab.

Step 4:
A list of any events you've added will appear. To view information about those events simply click on one in the list. To add a new event you need to click the 'Import Event' button at the bottom of the list.

Step 5:
A box will appear and this is where you should import your Events Hub link from step 1. Paste the link into the box and click 'Import'.

Step 6:
Your event will be added to your list and if you want to view it's details simply click it once. If you would like to enable reminders for this event which appear 60, 30 and 15 minutes prior to the event's start then you must tick the box down the bottom as shown.

When they post an Events Hub link. Once you've created the event on the SK create event page it produces a link for you to imput into SK.

Also you can delete events.

When you have imported it, right click the event and click delete tongue.gif

Incredible! I'm not sure how often it'll be used though since the forum calendar is under like six feet of dust...

I think how this work is that each event gets its own URL, and so when he says copy the link, he means the URL like that is posted on the event topic.

These are no longer used and proved unpopular. Moved to the official topics archive.
