But which one would you pick to buy? I'd put the money towards actual instruments. Like after jamming on my buddy's drum kit, I might get an actual electronic set of drums. I'd get real ones but they're too loud for the situation i'm in with housemates and such. Honestly these votes shouldn't wing your decision if you have yet to make the purchase... I would strongly recommend not buying it. They have an overall bad song list, which makes the crappy game play even worse. The vocals are off, to a point where someone who sang the song perfectly would still get around an 80%. The game was rushed, they spent no time in perfecting the little glitches that the game contains. The new guitar is much larger than the older ones so even someone who is good on expert must adapt if they wish to use the new slider bar system, which might I add is overly sensitive (simply rubbing anything near it causes massive amounts of notes to be played). People with small hands also have trouble using such a large controller. The use of Star Power does not help you fellow band mates when they need it, so using it thinking you will help them can cause them to be without, Also if one person fails, the entire band fails as there is no way to help them recover. On a good point I must say I like the song creator, although it was released before they had the ability to allow vocals to be recorded. I like that they added a fifth drum pad to the kit, although if you know anything about playing a real drum set, the kit is set up purely for a left handed drummer, which is a rarity. On a final happy note I did like the way the new pause system works, as it allows you to prepare for upcoming notes and get the guitarists fingers back into place. As you can tell my choice is Rock Band 2. There are many, many more songs available for Rock Band 2. This ensures that there will be something for most anyone who plays the game. The vocal system is top of the line, and reads perfectly. I must say that the Hammer Ons are a little more difficult to pull off but It is worth it. They also made it possible to retain songs from Rock Band, this adds to the extensive song list which is supposed to be of epic proportions by the year's end. In short, DON'T GET WORLD TOUR. Personally, Guitar Hero is dominating Rock Band. The name doesn't matter, who really cares that drums come in the same box as the guitar for guitar hero? Honestly, the GH drums are better than the RB drums. I've seen both in action, and, as far as sales go... At circuit city, I sell 5 times more guitar hero than rock band. I talk the the customers, and a lot say they liked rock band 1 before, but they switched to guitar hero wt. The songs on GH are amazing, by the way. There is downloadable content as well... Actually Glenn, there's a video on Youtube of somebody playing a Rock Band Drumming Note Chart on actual drums, and they played the actual song. So the it might be SOMEWHAT, the same. --------------------   | ||||||||||

But this is about GHWT versus RB! Not everyone can play real instruments well -- at least not as well as what is simulated on GHWT or RB. Yeah, that. Regardless, I don't like Rock Band as much as I like Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero was just made generally better in my honest opinion, not to mention that the songs on Guitar Hero are MUCH better than the Rock Band setlist. But, you can't even use that as an argument as to which game is better, because that is an OPINION. People's opinions generate which game they like better. If nothing else, I'd suggest you buy which game you want by analyzing the setlists and seeing which songs you like better. -------------------- | ||||||||||
