Ladies and Gentlemen..

We have around 85 members in the Main ML, and 40 Emeritus.
And whats our pull to normal events? 4-6
Whats our pull to raids? 10-15
Whats our pull to week long prep wars? 35-40
What did this all cause us? Loss of a lot of great active members.

How to fix this? It's time we get some mandatory events.

Keeping it simple, I can't type more, I'm really pissed and I have to go soon.

Don't worry.
We have a system coming soon about people who keep skipping events.

Get active or get out.

Pretty much the way it should be.

If people arn't coming to big events like war atm, why would they come if its mandatory?

Agreed, pulling so few opts to events etc causes a bad feeling to members , if we do mandatory make sure its at a gpood time for all. I see alot join WG and then go silent or disappear, at 1st they are excited but then i also see them ignored in main channel, cause they are new I guess, I always make a point to talk to them etc... but others just chat right over them. Thats not a good thing. Everyone needs to make a point to let these new people know they are recognized and accepted.

point being there is more going on here than just the obvious

As Randy said in his IA post, these event are for us, not them. What happens when only 1 person comes to a granite mining event? JUST ONE. Makes event leader feel like theyre taken for granted. Your lucky to have George and Saad, so make it count and come to events. This cant go on for much longer.

I love warring, but I know that not everyone else in the clan feels the same way. That should be respected.

Mandatory events aren't the way to fix this. You make events mandatory and you can say bye bye to more active members.

If they are active, then they should be attending all events they can manage. That's a huge part of what being active is...

Mandatory events are complicated.

Personally, I think only wars should be mandatory. When I say mandatory, I'm not saying people have to give up previous RL commitments, but try to keep that time slot for the war. these days wars aren't that long, so even if you last to the end, you're not looking at that much time "wasted."

Other events should have quotas, like at least 1 raid a week and 2+ skill events a week. Failure to meet these requirements two weeks in a row results in a suspension, 3 weeks *insert slightly more severe punishment here*, and after an entire month expulsion.

Wars should be mandatory, yes.
But the event activity part, I have posted about this before (1 Raid/war and 1 skill event per week), only few liked it. Most were against it.

Despite that, I think we should have it.
