It was for the purpose of people having to be in #WG_Lobby that the whole invite script was made. Well, that and security. Keeping #WG_Lobby active gives us a good image, and intros have a better chance of meeting people who they can add on Runescape for their application. So, if you guys would kindly stay in the lobby and keep it active rather than getting your invite and leaving, it would really help us in the long run. --------------------    | ||

Its not hard to stay in there and check it occaionaly. Personally I see that as worse. A room full of members of WG not responding to a person's query doesn't look good. It's worse than an empty room because it looks like we don't care. It'd be nice if people would chat about some things in the lobby for the sake of haveing people there in the case that a future applicant decides to ask a question. --------------------   | ||

I find I get alot of PM from both lobby and WG. So that takes me away from the main chats. I could have like 5 people I'm talking to at once. There's the issue of security and exclusivity, hence, #WG_lobby is formed for the public, but if that's your frontline for PR, recruitment affected, bonding with potentials etc - you'll need to relook at your IRC structure. I've seen topics like these about urging member to be active, friendly etc in the public chat...its been months, not sure if it has improved at all. I popped by last night for awhile...only on #WG_lobby, ghost town. No greetings even when greeted. I don't visit IRC often, but I think random times reaping usually same results means the quietness is not random. And when we say members we should mean everyone, from leaders to tertiaries to members to trial. Since you create exclusive rooms for wars/events, is there a point to make the main chat, 2? But then, you're so use to the idea of exclusivity - I see going back to how it was before, 1 main chat, as unlikely? But looks like its hurting communal bonding, PR whatever you want to call it. Sometimes, everyone is so busy and focus on whatever they are doing in-game, they might not pay attention to IRC. It becomes an issue if its a HABIT, days in days out, weeks and months. There's good habits and there's bad habits. Unless there isn't exclusive rooms made for wars/important events' security, it makes sense to have 2 lobbies.
