      IRC Nickname: Abs Group: Emeritus Posts: 2071 Member No.: 4 Joined: December 26, 2007 Total Events Attended: 97    | This is the thing, I've always hated, and that's posting a goodbye or resignation. I have always thought about what I should say on my resignation, when to say it, too. And I think this is the right time to post that resignation. I really don't know where to begin. Well, I'll just skip to the reason as to why I am resigning from Council. It's been nearly 1 year and 2 months since I got promoted to Council rank. I can remember it like it was yesterday, so clearly, I was (obviously) happy, along with Snowzak, upon receiving the Council Rank, who wouldn't be, Lol. Anyway, after such a long time in Council, I feel I have expired, the spark is gone, as quite a few previous Council members can explain, I don't feel that I can brainstorm good ideas to help Wg anymore, the rest of the current Council exceed me by a long way, they are all doing a brilliant job. I know, as much as you very well know, that I am quite inactive, everyday, slowly going more & more inactive, skipping days off the IRC, to do whatever. I feel very guilty to have this Council position, I'm basically wasting this spot, I used to talk to New members & try to get to know them, as well as the current ones, I used to be able to deal with drama cases & banned certain "bad" members. I don't do that anymore, Why? Because I'm not active. Hell, I still don't know what the cabbage teleport does; I didn't know it existed until a while ago. Besides, there's more than enough Council at the moment, more than usual. Wg is going to get better, much better. My Real Life studies, hobbies & social life are taking more & more out of my Rs Life. Studying 2-3 hours a day or more is becoming more & more common, and I don't even do as much work as I should be doing, meaning my grades aren't as high as they should be. I know a lot of people here can juggle A Level (Years 12-13, which is basically 2 years after high school before University) along with RS Life very well. I'm afraid I can't do that at all. Not even the slightest. --- A bit of my history, if you're interested. You can skip this lol, I'm going to go on & on because I like being nostalgic. 7th June, 2005. This is the day I joined Wg, as a "New Member". I can still remember it, on the S10 boards. I can remember some people resigning & creating drama around this time too lol. I can imagine the New Members reading this thinking "who the hell is this guy, why would I care", well, you're fully entitled to that, because that's what I thought when I joined Wg, lol, but I still remember some of the names, I think one of them was easy tiger, it's very hard to remember others. I remember Mochacho having a cool CGI type signature with a party hat & a sword with "Wilderness Guardians" on it, very cool. I had a mentor as a "New Member", his name was Kingdanielii, I hated him at first, because he never talked to me, never replied to my questions, he played Rs quite a bit lol, but he just wasn't very involved in our Mentorship. I realise that...that part of Wg can be very important to a New Member, VERY important indeed. Kingdan then said randomly on Rs one day, if I was ready to be a Full Member, and within a few minutes, my rank was changed on Wg Forums. It was like getting Primary Leader, I was so thrilled. Note that back then, I was 12, I never heard of a "Forum", this was my first EVER online Community, boy, and I only applied because I heard you get an Rs gift on your birthday lmfao, who knew I would be Council for a year or so. When I climbed through the ranks of Wg, I became very mature; I lost the habit of typn lik dis al da tyme, and started to type properly, full sentences, proper words. I started being nice to everyone I had met. Wg was basically my other "parents" from the ages of 12 till now, you guys did show me the world; I am clever today, because of Wg. Then the ranks went, Trusted Member, Senior Member. I never got to Honoured; it was combined with Senior to just make "Senior Member" back then. I got promoted to Moderator once, 2 years ago, while I was in Canada, by Rai of Light (  ), but then Lordy immediately took it away, rightly so (because Rai didn't speak to Council, ILY James <333). Back then, I also had auto-halfop while being a Senior Member (Yeah, I know, that was biased lol) but it was thanks to that, that I am Council today, I think a few people such as Cody, Buzz & Jenny recommended me to be halfop, because I was mad active. I would like to say Thanks to those people.After a while, Mango (<33) got Head of Community (Council) and promoted me to Community Leader, this is pretty much where I wanted to return something to Wg by becoming Council & helping out with Leadership, I maxed myself out in Runescape, I talked to nearly everyone, I helped the best way I could, I went to every event possible. And there we have it, Oct 21st, 2007, Council. Then, after Elias left Wg for a short time, as he felt he needed to be away from Wg (Which he sure as hell deserved), I took the role of Primary Leader. Which did not work out at all, I knew I was never cut out to fit Lordy's shoes, I could never be that, I really am, probably, good at being Council. I could never do what Elias/Elias has done in the past, slave 11 hours for Videos on Wg war preps (which were bloody awesome), miss a hospital appointment for leading a war (BD War, thanks Elias, that was the best war ever), and taking all the shit, bitching & ranting from some Wg members, and still wake up the next morning to point Wg in the right direction. I will never be able to do that, all I did as Primary was carry on my Council duties, and coordinate Council a bit, and as you noticed from Tmal, Dz, they also ranted at me, rightly so, for not listening to them. The short 4 months I was Primary, I wanted to quit, after declining Rick's request for Council, after everyone bitching at me then lol, that is when I wanted to throw in the towel xD. Luckily, Lordy gave Wg another time and saved my life. I am sure as hell I've missed many many many events, as well as my 4 month inactivity, Dday & so on, many other brilliant wars like the DOA war which I lasted 11 seconds on but loved taking part in, but I can't go on forever lol. To put it simply, I love Wg so much, Wg has changed my personality completely from when I was 12 to now. I can't explain how, I just can't put it into words. I don't know how I can pay Wg back after this. -------- Condensed Version of Above^ Why I want to resign:
